It was his initial mistake to set up like that which dropped us in it.

We play with more intensity this season and rely on power rather than finesse. It'll pick up a lot of points; it's also a style that can be matched by most teams if they put their minds to it and nullified.

The test for this Koeman team will be when they develop this style and have it as their signature. Then they'll need to add another more creative dimension to it in order to keep the opposition guessing. We dont have that flexibility yet. The plan right now is to simply up the energy levels. We require a cult figure who can add some mercurial talent to the mix.

Do you disagree with that plan Dave?

I think he can expedite it by buying some creativity immediately. That's why my wish this past transfer window was to use the cash we paid out on another CM we dont really crucially require to bring in Sigurdsson.

More fool him that he didn't.

ronald Koeman kept pace with the top 4 last season and missed out by only 4 points by consistently picking up points over the second half of the season. So however unlikely it may be that we challenge there we could well keep pace with them until the end at least which isn't too bad.

You're the one who has the issue, so why do you be man enough and tell me. Or you can state the truth and say "I didn't watch the game and I'm just finding any excuse to have a pop at Ron"

Bluestevon just told you in a post above. Due to your tone I cant be arsed telling you. Read his explanation.

He set us up in the same way we've been playing in the previous 5 games, in which we'd won 4 and kept 4 clean sheets.

You chat bubbles lad.

Don't think yesterday result was to bad.. Need to win every home game for a chance of top 4 an hope they continue to drop points.

The Bournemouth's of this world at home are precisely the type we need to be very vigilant with. This league is anarchic. There's no game outside of Chelsea away that you'd be guaranteed to get nothing from; no team outside Sunderland at home you could almost guarantee a home win against.

Exactly which is why a point at a very hard to go to ground like stoke isn't something that should dent the confidence, and why the games at home coming up will see if we are playing to hold off teams below or have a chance to get above those above us. We drop points in those home games coming up then yeah any slim chance of top 4 likely diasapears and then would require we would need to turn over a spurs away to make up that ground etc.

Its all about momentum though, right now we have it, win against Bournemouth and it builds

It shows that we, even in a purple patch of sorts, cant make inroads against a team that is playing solid but unspectacularly and are drawing a lot. They are the lowest hanging fruit and we wont take them down.

Awww diddums, somebody is upset we didn't lose last night.
