….yet another goal for Canon. I liked the way he dropped into space to receive the cross. Apparently he’s scored more than Everton in the last 8 games.

Canon, Lewis Gibson, Denis Adeniran & Conor McAleny all on the scoresheet in the last 10mins, all with Everton connections.
And to add to your list … Bassala Sambou scored for Oldham on 79 mins.

If Simms had scored that chance at Man U we'd be raving about him right now. He fluffed it on this occasion - won't happen all the time. He'll come good. Just needs to find his feet.
Our friends up at Sunderland raves about him. I’ve no idea how anyone can judge a player who has played like 3 senior games. You judge a player when he has had say 20 starts.

GoT is a time paradox where 20mins is more than enough to make a definitive opinion on anyone or anything and then stick with it for eternity, even when eventually there becomes overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
This is the way.

If he’d stayed at Everton it’s very likely he wouldn’t have developed so confidently playing against world class defenders, in a poor team, under pressure from Evertonians.

Such experiences can set back a player through confidence alone. He’s out and scoring for Preston and coming along, it’s been a good decision to loam him out.
It's like taking a tablespoon of horrible tasting medicine. Of course it's horrible but in the long run, it might just be the best option even if you feel like death warmed up.
