No you're correct. He was clearly the weakest link in that team. As was Grobbelaar in the last RS team to win the league.

well you certainly did imply it, you not only think a team can be successful with a keeper as a weak link, you think the prem's greatest ever team (I guarantee no one will agree with you on that by the way) played with a dreadful keeper, Germany's number one no less, to be fair it's the natural step for your losing Howard argument, your allies are diminishing, just a few american skirmishers left to fire off pot shots at the massed ranks of the howard out army, but keep telling yourself everyone is used to me being wrong, your entire GOT career is built on being wrongActually you said no successful team will ever have their goalkeeper as its weakest link, so I suggested that probably the best team this leagues ever seen did and so did the last Liverpool team to win the league.
Again you've excelled in being incorrect by saying I don't think goalkeepers aren't important as I've never said that, thought it or even implied it.
You aint getting up from this Doug! Where's the towel? Seconds?well you certainly did imply it, you not only think a team can be successful with a keeper as a weak link, you think the prem's greatest ever team (I guarantee no one will agree with you on that by the way) played with a dreadful keeper, Germany's number one no less, to be fair it's the natural step for your losing Howard argument, your allies are diminishing, just a few american skirmishers left to fire off pot shots at the massed ranks of the howard out army, but keep telling yourself everyone is used to me being wrong, your entire GOT career is built on being wrong
Thats true....probably because he is 'ex Man Utd.'......the same people are probably those who never gave Phil Neville the time of day. Neville went on too long, but for some time he was a good captain, and a willing player who always gave 100%, and his tackle on Ronaldo changed our mindset and our season in a few seconds. The same people probably are those that said Cleverley was crap even before he played a game for us. It is, of course alright to like Gibson despite the fact that he was injury prone before he arrived, and is now an injury prone drink driver. Tim Howard is/was a top Premier League keeper...his time is more done than to be done, although goalkeepers can stay fit enough and enough on the game to have long careers, and I expect there will be less game time for him at Everton from now on...Martinez has subtly told us that he is considering his goalkeepeer options, and there will be a gradual transition to Robles or a new keeper. Its the least Howard deserves.Moyes never dropped Howard, Martinez will do before CHristmas,is my guess.
Actually, I seem to remember that he was a major part of why they won the league that season, replacing a blatantly finished Seaman. Lehmann only declined in his later years at Arsenal
You aint getting up from this Doug! Where's the towel? Seconds?
So in a team consisting of Viera, Silva, Pires, Cole, Henry, Campbell, Berrgkamp... Lehmann played a major roll as they we're turning teams over every week. Okay Mike, it's an honest opinion and you're entitled to it but I'll just leave it there for others to judge...

Surely you don't see GOT as some sort of profession? That's odd.
Anyway Lehmann wasn't Germans number one when they were going throw a low period it was Khan and Lehmann was always his number two until he retired.
If this wasn't the Tim Howard thread I'd love to know who you thought the best team this leagues produced was, I'm guessing you'll side with Eric and plump for Utd.
Going to need a towel for sure - @Walken 's finish of @Dithering Dougie is messier than the laminated handy-shandy pic that @mkrudden uses of their fateful encounter
wow I was wrong!Surely you don't see GOT as some sort of profession? That's odd.

Dougie's spelling and grammar all over the shop, he's reeling
