But all during Tim Howard's time here he was been received well by the critical mass of fans.
I would concur with this. He might not be universally popular at this present time, but over the course of his Everton career, he has been a good servant and appreciated for the vast majority of the time by the vast, vast majority of Evertonians.
The trouble is that many of my age generation remember not only the worlds greatest in Neville Southall, but also Gordon West - and I'll admit, it's just not fair to try and compare TH to either of those two.
