Tim Cahill admits Everton 'couldn't hit a barn door at the moment'

Hopefully Rodwell will be back for Johnny. And Yak or Saha instead of Jo. I think the game on Wednesday will factor how we play on Sunday, hopefully a good result in Greece will give everybody a real lift.

The question should really be, the chips are down, you need a player who will put his body on the line for the sake of Everton Football Club. 94th minute of a game, the ball goes up in the area, its 40/60, who do you want challenging for it. Fellaini or Cahill.

He always gets written off Cahill, its as if people forget how great hes been for us.

He has been poor, but hes barely fit, he needs a rest, when Fellaini is barely fit his fanclub jumps to his defense, but when Cahill is unfit people start sticking the blades in.

Pees me off to be honest, Tim Cahill is a complete legend.

Yeah hes been gash, I agree. But if theres 1 person I back to come thru for us, its Cahill.

Agree with everything you said regarding Tim Cahill. Certainly has been underperforming this season, but he deserves an awful lot of credit based on his past performances. How many times has he played in his fave position this year? Thought he did alright on Sunday and he's never afraid to put his body on the line for the Everton cause. In a perfect world, we should be giving him a well deserved rest, but that's not an option at the moment.

Absolutely love this Everton legend in the making.

Howard's been alright.

Don't get me started on Howard.

At the end of the day guys, you get picked in the first 11 for doing the job the manager expects of you.
Moyes doesn't have too many options at the moment, so certain players are getting away with under performing, and unfortunately, Cahill is one of them.

It might be that fans look to Timmy to be the huge personality in the squad, which might be a bit unfair on him, but footballing wise, he isn't doing himself any favors for a world cup place at the moment if all things were equal.

As for players having a good season, untill the whole machine starts to work better, individual cogs will turn in vein.

AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!! "We're too good to be in this position." - Why did he have to say that?!

Cahill's clearly not performing at his best for Everton this season & he's not the only one - there seems to be some general malaise affecting the whole team. I just hope Moyes can pull them through it & get them consistently looking like a team again.

I really can't understand this Cahill bashing. Except for Sunday, EVERYONE has been under performing.

I'm trying to be upbeat about this team and I can't fault their enthusiasm playing the Koppites off the pitch and still leaked two goals. We are in big trouble until the back four starts to perform. Without Saha this year we would be dead last. Cahill is right Bily can't miss sitters like he did. But when the morale is down I suppose those things get maginfied to the nth degree.

Gentlemen we have a big fight on our hands to keep this team from total collaspe the injuries have been devastating and the newboys just haven't lived up to expectations. However, Lucas Neil and Hetinger have shown me more than I thought they would. I noticed the Joey Yobo thread and I'm not making a comment for fear of piling on but Joey just doesn't have his head in the game and it shows more often than not. To be honest I have never felt comfortable with him in the starting eleven.

Thank god for Pienaar being back in the team because you can see his engine doesn't have a slow gear. Jags & Arteta are needed asap if they can't make it back soon more gnashing of teeth may be the order of the day. But no use mopeing around Chin up and a nervous grin for the Spurs game
