This is how it could end up

I do agree in principle with his post excepting we'll almost certainly pay bigger money than the likes of Newcastle, not historically perhaps but if certainly think now . There aren't too many clubs with our top end for wages .

I do agree though that I don't see the money making too much difference .

The difference will be between pl clubs and non pl clubs. It should make it even easier for a club like everton to attrack managers and players from abroad or in the lower leagues.

Which in term will give a further advatange to clubs like swansea or newcastle who mine those waters, as oppossed to your oneill, dalglish, rodgers types who only buys established PL players.

It'll have a big impact on those at the lower end of the scale in the PL.

Wigan (if they stay up) will see their revenue increase by 50% as a result of this deal. Whereas to United this will only impact their turnover to the tune of 8%.

Are Wigan going to increase their wage bill & player budgets by 50% of their turnover in 1 year? No chance.

What gets me though is that certain people think we'll suddenly become this sustainable, well run business model because of it. It's piss and vinegar and we'll continue to haemorrhage money until Boy's Pen Bill sells up and f*cks off.

The better run clubs will continue to be better run and almost certainly have the same cash greater percentage of available as they do know . The established premier league clubs , ourselves included , will probably grow stronger compared to the 'yo-yo' clubs and compared to much of the overseas market but our place away from the big boys table it seems obvious will remain unchanged.

Completely agree

Is the right answer.

We won't.

In the PL you're either run by billionaires or you can't keep up.

What we can do is upgrade slightly. It's like players. We can't buy a falcao but that doesn't mean we can't do better than an earnshaw. There's jelavics and michus around that are a little bit better and if you have a good enough defence and midfield then that will be enough.

Let's just stay as we are then eh? It's working out really well for us. I'm positively giddy that I'll never see Everton win the league.

Clap clap clap clap

Your right.. Bill out, anyone in, we'll win the league.

I haven't said anywhere that I want just anyone to take over.

Just anyone better than him will do nicely.

I'd like us to at least be in a position to challenge for winning things. But no, you're right, as long as plucky little Everton finish best of the rest, we should all be thankful to Bill the saviour.

Exactly. There is room for improvement without doubt, but I think many people are assuming a massive instant change in our fortunes. Its highly possible very little will change but just having the AGM's bought back in would be improvement.
Its an even higher possibility we will be worse run, either throwing caution to the wind, or tightening up to the point we start to fail, say what you want, our board do walk the financial tightrope pretty well.
Having said that, there is a very real possibility that we get taken over by someone who can negotiate a sponsorship deal worthy of our league position, just that would be the progress we need, just that would be enough to see us in positive revenue providing we maintain our league position.

Ah that's how it works, sorry your right, we are clearly all calling for someone worse, whilst you want someone better. Hadn't thought of looking at it like that.
We are saved!!!!

Point is that wanting better and getting it are not the same thing.
