This is how it could end up

The scaremongering is pathetic, remember what life was like under jones, commrade napoleon knows best. Kenwright has zero to do with us being stable right now, hes an lucky chancer, who could well be found out next season

Right, not be serious for a minute.

Do you actually thing we will see that money?

I do.

We've always invested all the tv money back into the club, it's what allows us to pay our players and managers their inflated wages.

I think the idea that it will lead to anything but everyone's wages going up, because one club will do it and everyone else will have to follow suit or not attract anyone to the club, is naive.

There's a difference between "scaremongering" and being cautious mate.

To go steam rolling into stuff just isn't some people's comfort

I'm one to them tbh. I'm a very careful person when it comes to change and I analyse stuff heavily before going ahead with stuff.

I just think it's the way to be

I'm not against the club being sold at all, but I also don't want us to end up like other clubs who've gone a over t since selling out

Sorry mate, I worded it badly.

I meant in a way similar to you said in your post. Other teams will be getting the same money, so will our money make a difference in comparison to others. Or will it just be keeping pace?

There was a club taken over by a theatre guy a few years back that did particuarly badly. Riddled with debt and went two years without even buying a player, I think.

We need to be careful or we'll end up with a board like that.

And with the increased tv money will come new signings, new wages and increased contracts. Will the money go towards a new stadium? Will it [Poor language removed].

Watch how much the "other operating costs" increase this time next year.

Take your head out of the sand and see Kenwright for the snake oil salesman he is.

All clubs will get extra TV money, so we're no better off. We still won't be able to offer better contract or sign more expensive players vis a vis the likes of Spurs, Arsenal, Newcastle. Our top targets will just continue to be mopped up by the clubs who are able to generate more revenue than us or have richer owners.

This new TV money is a non-event. All boats rise with the incoming tide.

I don't agree.

To those clubs at the top end of the scale, it'll make little difference, to those at the lower reaches the impact will be far greater. Clubs will make their own decisions as to what they ALLOW themselves to do with this incremental revenue.

Been saying this for ages. The extra moolah may come in handy for appeasing the banks about though, provided there isn't a worldwide wage hike, which I know, is possible.

The difference will be between pl clubs and non pl clubs. It should make it even easier for a club like everton to attrack managers and players from abroad or in the lower leagues.

Which in term will give a further advatange to clubs like swansea or newcastle who mine those waters, as oppossed to your oneill, dalglish, rodgers types who only buys established PL players.

Spot on.
