Charlie Adam said on the radio that he was signed as he had a similar profile to Beto.
Thank God Adam has gone then.

Both should have been. Both occasions last night people were screaming he missed 'open goals'.
Neither were close to open goals or tap ins. Could he have done better with both? Yes. Were they guaranteed goals? No.
He did my head in missing sitters last night so I’m probably being a bit unfair. I do recall him acting quite cocky after he scored them few goals though and i remember thinking at the time it was probably going to bite him up the ass because he has still has a long way to go.Was he really? Thought it was more him saying Lukaku was his idol
In that case, what made whoever thinks that Beto was a longer term prospect as a striker. I say that allowing for the fact he did have a decent spell but has never demonstrated the skills required to hold up the ball as a lone striker.Charlie Adam said on the radio that he was signed as he had a similar profile to Beto.
AgreedHere’s a thought lads:
We could try supporting our players.
Twice during the match I uttered a swear beginning with f. Barry was the cause of both. Both should have been.
The 2nd one he only had to hit it the way he was facing, to the keepers left.
Not consistently though TP.Agreed
You can see heads drop with the grumblings. And no, not blaming the fans, but a bit of reflection never hurt anyone.
Some get unfairly targeted too
It was poor by Barry, maybe even had more time than he thought to control and dink like he did at Villa but he fluffed his lines.
Fact is he was there, reacted faster than anyone and made the chance by doing so.
Ndiaye save onto post first half could've been aimed higher imo but we love Ndiaye and he gets a pass for it.
I've seen Haaland miss chances like Barry's last night. It happens
If People are saying we have low expectations because of a manager.Twice during the match I uttered a swear beginning with f. Barry was the cause of both.
For a good goalscorer I’d say they put them type of chances 9 times out of ten to miss a pair of them in a match is a bit shockingBoth occasions last night people were screaming he missed 'open goals'.

Let's not kid ourselves here. He missed twice and the faithful are annoyed, quite rightly imo, but it isn't just his finishing is it ?, there was absolutely nothing about his performance last night that could give you any hope. He can't hold up the ball, head the ball, and mostly, anything over a 5 yard pass is going to be unlikely or lucky.
He isn't good enough week in week out. I've read he doesn't get good service but when it comes to him ,chances are he will lose it, miscontrol it,or simply fall over it.
I suspect he wouldn't cut it in the championship or division one for that matter.
I hate running our players down,I really do. Feel guilty actually, but there is no hope imo of this lad ever being good enough at this level. I hope in 18 months time I get vaulted , and will be happy to be made a fool of.
The guy's body language on and off the field is shameful
