The stench of mediocrity.

People applauding the team off the pitch after losing 3-1 to leave us in 15th. I despair at this club. Zero expectation.

.... Green shoots of recovery and all that. Yes, we lost, but we were much, much better than last weekend. If we play with that same desire and intensity for the rest of the season, and sharpen up our finishing, we won't lose too many.

Clubs like West Ham and Leicester are miles ahead of us at present.

All thanks to the Legion of doom:

Moshiri, BK, Brands, Silva

Hang on.....whoa just hold up there a min.....loads wanted to get rid of Sam despite loads of people in the footballing world including Peter Reid saying he was a decent manager given time.

To be honest how can Marco Silva be even compared to Sam in terms of experience and getting a job done?

The only way the board will get the message is if you stay at home and vote with your feet.

Moshiri and co will crap themselves if attendances start dropping as we prepare to move to a bigger ground.

Sections of the fanbase play a part in this mentality, they're happy to see the likes of bambi Lewin leading the line, probably the same ones that ran rom out of town, says it all

Too many have been sucked in by the plucky little everton nonsense and are happy to have their head patted.

Over rating our players is another usual trait. As well as defending Kenwright and moyes.

2 home losses in a week is a disgrace. 7 from 7 is unacceptable. A 3-1 home defeat is never good. Some need to waken up and demand better.

`desire and intensity' - our keeper was laughing for about a minute after making a mistake at 3-1 down with 2 minutes left and none of his teamates went and clipped the imbecile. Love that sort of desire and intensity.

My first season watching everton was76/77. My second season was watching today's special guest Dave Thomas dancing down the wing. We may have lost the odd home game here and there but I never ever thought that the day would come were we just shrugged our shoulders and accepted defeat,no matter how much better our opponents apparently are. Especially against the likes of Manchester city. Our motto is nil satis nisi optimum, but we've let all this "people's club" (ie the plucky underdog) crap take over.

Said it in the Silva thread, don’t feel the praise a fair number of blues are giving after the game. Thought we looked disjointed at times, over reliance on full backs and corners to create, huff and puff style. True they are a excellent side City and the way they flow in attack is great to watch.

Maybe I’m out of touch these days in not seeing or feeling what many do, as with Brands, Kenwright etc, particularly Brands who I read many waxing lyrical about him for quite a while. Not attacking anyone, each is own.

This is not a manager or player saying this. The stench of Kenwright. Culture comes from the top. Still involved in the club, expect more mediocrity. Imagine Walter Smith saying "disappointing" on loop, that's the future.

This is that key. My worry is they won't. They seem okay at giving it a go against the big teams, but half arsed against many others.

A truly "big" club with ambitions would sack him, this is unacceptable or should be seen as being unacceptable.

Relegate a side, and then drag another side right down the table after an impressive start.Silva has done good stuff in Portugal and Greece. But his track record in english football, did not warrant being given the Everton job.
