The rest of the season

11 games to go - only 2 against top 6 teams, the other 9 are 3 at home and 6 away, so....
3 home wins
6 away draws
nothing against the top 6
Total 15 points - 49 for the season
8th place (Leicester will win more of their home games)

Wishful thinking?

No - just standard Allardyce formula for the last 20 years.

And, astonishingly, he is actually ahead of that formula since he arrived.
The good run came against the poor teams, and the bad run included 4 of the top 6.

Yeah I'd agree with this to be honest.

The away form is just an absolutely monumental worry though isn't it - and we'll be lucky if we get 6 draws from those.

I feel like Moshiri will be measuring Sam on his ability to get us winning on the road - not just stay up.
He 100% hasn't managed to address the 1 win in 12 months situation, which just suggests to me he's not the guy going forward.

49 points for the season sounds about right though - but of course, Everton have their ways of shocking us all.
Tosun screamers against Liverpool and City or a Michael Keane OG against Watford. We'll have to wait and see!

It would be a positive straight away if the current manager didn't keep trying to justify his own existence by mentioning relegation battles etc, and a major positive if he was gone by June 1st latest!

In an ideal world a positive would be if we knew a new manager was "virtually" in place, and already planning for next year. In turn that could mean playing a relatively settled side between now and the end of the season of players who are definitely going to be here next year, and giving the likes of Baningime, Vlasic, and Lookman (oh he's not here anymore!!) game time when possible! Integrate Tosun back into the team properly sooner rather than later!

Finally lets go and try and win a few games of actual football both home and away rather than this nonsense of going away and parking the bus, or shutting up shop!

Get rid of the dead wood (I've listed 7 players) and add four players. We still have a squad of 28.

Sigurddson is not seriously underperforming. The lad will probably get closed to double figures in goals scored, never mind the assists.
Keane also just needs to settle down.
Niasse and DCL are both having decent seasons and are useful options.
Rooney is only 32 and can do the business in midfield.
Baines is also only 32 and at worst is excellent backup.

Lose:

Williams
Garbutt
Schneiderlin
Klaasen
Besic
Mirallas
Sandro

Tosun
Niasse

you left out Onyekuru i would argue we could get shut of much much more Mori or Jags or both, Bolasie, Niasse has done well but not for a team wanting to make the step up, & Martina takes another 4 away, takes us down to about 24 which is areasonible size considering. Problem is, no one will pay what we want + wages for the likes of Bolasie, Schneiderlin, or Klaassen

Meis and Elstone feeling positive about the stadium

Tosun wanting to end the silverware drought

Sam actually talking about trying to win at Watford.

I can’t take all this positivity from Everton.

I want to see Tosun play. He's actually pretty good on FIFA. He doesn't have a lot of pace but he has a nice touch and is a good finisher.

In a team that doesn't bypass the midfield I think he would do well.
