Food banks are basically a British institution now. Will take a monumental effort to get rid of them. That is a part of this Tory legacy. Rich people getting filthy rich whilst many not so well off people pick up the pieces.

As for the hyper wealthy becoming more so, I hope for their sakes they stay on the right side of the power barons that have allowed such success to occur.
And the not so well off, its legions of left behind, surviving by crawling through the scraps and battling with a system directly setup to hinder and harm them at every minuscule step.

The country is not in an absolute mess and is doing as well as if not better than many. Even these strikes are having no effect and business etc is recovering having been through Brexit, COVID and the current effects from Ukraine….

Same. Need to get a log burner, and the one I want isnt in stock till Sept. (No issue with that personally). Asked the bloke is that due to China/War, and he said No. Produced in Bradford or somewhere up there, but some parts need to come from the EU. And they cannot guarantee delivery times atm.

Now, sure, thats a miniscule and unimportant issue, (a burner), but its certainly not unique.

Mate the Country is in tatters, yet all's we hear is now our two final contestants are going to find money for tax cuts for the rich, really ? Truss is backtracking daily, levelling up another Tory farce, the lies are piling up, it's time for a new government, these losers have had it. If you had any remnant of reality, you would have accepted it years ago. The Tories have had 12 years and are we any better off. Petrol, energy bills, inflation and cost of living spirralled out of control, the Country needs change, it may already be too late.

Look, we are all paying more for fuel and gas etc. Inflation is raging across Europe and the USA, the Ukraine situation is causing mayhem, and companies are trying to recover their cashflow due to Covid. We are where we are, and the whole of the western world is in the same place. We could of course had Corbyn running the country, having got rid of our nuclear defence and suggesting that Ukraine give in to Russia in order to stop the war, and getting on the picket lines with any strikers. But would anything honestly be better ??????
