I think you are confusing the information that the usual suspects will turn up (which is widely available) with the way the information is being phrased - "lads", "hard left", the occasional veering into "all lives matter" etc - that really does suggest a certain sort of worldview.

If its an observation that a riot is potentially on the cards and seemingly backed up by the Police then his observations that the protagonists need to stop or be stopped might be sensible approach.

If extremists are causing havoc on our streets then that is what is extremely dangerous and needs to be challenged at every opportunity.
