I’ve asked you where you’re getting your info from and you responded with some fella off the internet.

I don’t know where else to go with this really.

Again, it is not a secret.

Most importantly the Polices position on the matter

I get that you are trying to shut him down and discredit him, mate but that approach won't work on a football forum.

The poor lads punch drunk trying to throw haymakers whilst im sat 12 feet away having a nice cup of tea :coffee:

Remove all the legacies you want, slavery will still exist and that’s what needs to be challenged and stopped.

you have multinational companies actively utilising child labour, smaller businesses feeding off human trafficking and this doesn’t seem to be an issue.

Smash your iPhone, your materialistic piece of equipment, and protest the Apple shop. But people won’t, because without it how can you post on social media how outraged you are.

Deal with the issues that are happening now

I asked where he got his information from. He responded with some fella off the internet. There’s only so far you can go with someone like that.

If he posted the above the debate would’ve been a lot different.

I’m not trying to shut him down, I’m challenging him and where he gets his information from.

Thats where they dont realise they are being brainwashed.

If they were truly fighting for equality - why not take on the elite who are currently doing the oppressing?

Maybe because the elite who are pulling the strings have conned them into not realising that all this rubbish / mob hand will do nothing but fracture their support and inevitably lead to clashes with the right therefore the message is lost and nothing changes.

Who do you class as the elite?

Plus, who is doing the brain washing?

Curious to know your view.

I think you are confusing the information that the usual suspects will turn up (which is widely available) with the way the information is being phrased - "lads", "hard left", the occasional veering into "all lives matter" etc - that really does suggest a certain sort of worldview.

I agree with tearing the statues down as there’s absolutely no need for them and it’s a bit weird that they’re there in the first place.

However slavery is still rife in the world (someone down my road got done for it ffs) and companies people use every day utilise techniques that could be considered close to slavery (BooHoo are a recent one in the news currently). Toppling statues looks good for the Instagram but the scum of the world have ensured injustice and techniques have moved on in the past 300 years and it isn’t really going to change anything. They shouldn’t be standing though.

Yeah, you're showering yourself in glory with your info sourced from a Millwall forum unlike all the brainwashed lefties
if you wanted to get info on london football hooligans other than knowing them personally, were would you suggest starting ?
I said I heard it from Spurs fans on here not a millwall forum

Do keep up pet :coffee:

@H.H.

@Yid4life
it was me who looked it up on the millwall forum. after the spurs lad had spoken about it.

Others can of course have an alternative view, but again what long term benefits that come from removal? No one is giving a clear argument for this. It isn't the source of anyone's anger, sense of injustness and predjuce. It is just a visible way of showing that anger at present. Most of these people were involved in many industries as well as the horrible practice of trading in slaves, just because they did doesn't mean that they didn't improve the cities they called home. I severely doubt these monuments were put up to remind the very small number of black people that were in these cities in the late 1800's of their place as some people have said.

The people of Bristol democratically decided to keep it last time there was an opportunity to do so, are 55% of Bristolains racist? I don't think so, especially seeing the city's rich diverse population. When you let the minority take by force you are on a slippery slope as what will be next that people choose to remove/vandalise.

Education and opportunity will give the BAME community the justice they crave for, not removing relics to a bygone age when 99% of the population know and understand that slavery was bad, as was the colonisation of countries by the empire.
I gave my view on all of that yesterday, and also posted a very detailed piece from 2018 about the origins of that statue. Virtually all of the actual points I made were ignored, or replied to with whataboutery, the history piece was completely ignored. Can’t be bothered repeating myself again, so if you’re genuinely interested revisit my posts mate.

Probably not think that because some racists have said something on the internet that it's either true or that it invalidates the people they are wanting to fight.
