Like, this kind of thing won't ever be discussed @Rita_Poon, so the viewers are none the wiser about Rwanda, Albania, and other foolish schemes cooked up by the idiots in power

And then, of course, the mouth breathers act all surprised when people who are granted asylum either don't integrate successfully or, worse, go on to do bad things. When you've got trauma from one's homeland and then add trauma from one's journey and additional trauma from the incarceration process, it's not a great recipe.

Considering the mess that has been made with ofsted reviews of schools and the tragedy that then fed, which has meant a significant alteration of policy, applying some sort of similar system of shaming of another branch of public service is probably not the best way to go.

Less bureaucracy, more nurses on the floor, and undo the stupidity of removing the nursing bursary. Part of the pull towards service in the NHS was the bursary and it helped a lot of young women that otherwise might not have been able to successfully take on the responsibility and hardship of the roles there after.

Almost certainly this marionette-looking lunatic will lose his post within a year if these stunts keep on coming. First fat shaming plans to inject the obese unemployed, now football league tables for hospitals.

It's like the Blue Tories on steroids.
Hi Dave, anything illegal yet mate ? I’ve not taken much interest lately

More sleaze.

Morning Dave. Keeping in mind I probably feel exactly the same as you on lobbying & large donations from individuals or corporations I’m not sure this counts as “sleaze” given the current rules.

I know you will have read the third paragraph so I don’t need to quote it. So do Labour need to always go beyond the rules?

I also won’t claim to be a Captain of Industry but I have some working knowledge of how doing business with China works & launching a major IPO like Shein…yeah you’re going to have both high level current politicians & their like acting as consultants involved.

I can understand the comparison to ofsted inspections but it’s slightly off.

If this is raw performance data as suggested it’s more like publishing school exam result league tables.

Part of why ofsted inspections could be so devastating is it was possible to drop so many tiers, with little warning & often for pedagogy reasons that can be a bit removed from the reality of day to day teaching.

Just to clarify don’t think it’s necessarily the best solution to improve NHS performance

If I was in charge I’d just start by giving the nurses another pay rise just to stop losing them to Australia, Canada & half a dozen other countries they can earn more in.

I’d love to see the tory newspapers navigate how go after greedy nurses that look after their core gammon demographic on the daily.

Having worked in the pubic sector in the late 90`s early 2000`s when there was a complete obsession with performance targets and league tables, I can 100% tell you that it leads to manipulation of figures, which takes complete priority over the quality of service provided and everything else.

I worked in a specialist dept, who`s sole sole purpose was to amass statistics, which were then collated and manipulated in way, that gave the impression that the performance targets where being hit and as such my area was consistently top of the league table.

If at the end of the month it looked like we weren`t going to hit the targets, my dept was almost given a blank cheque with regards to overtime, to find a way to hit the targets.

It was of course a complete sham and was just smoke and mirrors.
