Allardyce did a better job there than moyes did here.

You can remove 2001-2002 lad, cos Moyes wasnt here.

Allardyce did better than Moyes then, but Moyes is a better manager and better scout now than he was five years ago. Allardyce meanwhile has stayed the same or arguably gotten worse.

Or is Moyes simply reaping the benefit of remaining in the same job whereas allardyce is suffering from constantly having to manage players other people bought?

He was like, I was there.

No mate.

"I am from a city (Glasgow) that is not unlike Liverpool. I am joining the people's football club. The majority of people you meet on the street are Everton fans. It is a fantastic opportunity, something you dream about. I said 'yes' right away as it is such a big club."

There for some of it but fine.

188 million to finish 4th, 6th, 7th, 11th and 17th vs 142 million to finish 6th, 7th, 8th, 8th and 17th.

Thanks mate.

And I'm off to the races
Cases of Bacardi chasers
Chasin' me all over town
Cause he knows I'm wasted,
Facing time again on Rikers Island
And I won't get out

Because I'm crazy, baby
I need you to come here and save me
I'm your little scarlet, starlet
Singing in the garden,
Kiss me on my open mouth
Ready for you

Is AF arguing that Allardyce is a better manager ?

Think he needs banning if so.

Hes made a fine point I feel.

Clearly hes not saying that Big Sam is better, hes merely pointing out that he did a similar job at Bolton.

He provided the stats and its hard to disagree with them.

Good work from the boy Elton.

Ha, ha. No, in all seriousness Moyes is the better manager, and we play better football. I wouldn't swap the two.

I just think comparing the two jobs is interesting because it is similar and it kind of puts a bit of doubt to the idea that moyes would have success elsewhere.

Time will answer that question.

David Moyes greatest strength as a manager is assembling an excellent squad of players from meagre resources.
He also excels at turning those players into being the best that they can be.

I believe that his weakness is not being able to get the maximum from the collection of players he has assembled because of his conservative nature. This is most evident against weaker teams that we should beat comfortably.
Our record against teams in the bottom half of the bottom half is quite poor.Of the two team relegated so far we have taken 7/12 points this season, which is quite poor.
