sometimes in my more tinfoil-hat moments i wonder whether some of these are thinktank plants...

Nailed on. We have had them on here. I just dont trust anyone or anything any more. Audiences on political debates, callers to radio phones ins, the truth behind tweets and links and stuff.
Nothing, until something shows some concrete.

The copper: I'm prepared to shift on that. He's not a subhuman scum, he's a robot trained to kill.

The phone: "popped it in his pocket". That'll be the excuse I use next time I go stealing in Tescos: "just going to pop these usb sticks in my pocket".
You would get off with the Tesco theft..
Have to trust me on that one..

As if the LD's weren't in enough of a mess they've now been endorsed by "TV historian" Dan Snow who goes on to eulogise Swinson as a great leader. Just another example of the gap between the metropolitan elite and the rest of the country.

It's my line of work mate.
We don't even call the bizzies anymore as they have no one available.
Takes over half an hour to get through on the phone too.

Regular there is only one police car overnight for the whole region. Proper bad.
Read somewhere it has to be over a £200 for police to attend?

Which is of course the thing here, and why there is so little trust from many on the left towards the media in general and the BBC in particular.

Take that Leeds hospital story this evening - if video didn't exist of that encounter, we would have been told by the BBC Political Editor that a Tory aide to the Health Secretary had been punched by a protestor. That is how it was initially reported - not as "allegedly hit", or "Tory sources said that an aide had been punched", but as a fact. Then the video comes out, and the rowing back begins with the focus on the inaccuracy of what sources had told journalists (which is an absurd situation to be in, given how mendacious spin doctors are anyway and Tory ones have been this election in particular).

I am not sure even Swinsons best mate nor Mum and Dad would say she is a great leader.

Oh sake, someone will now post her parents are dead or sommet ffs.

Are you actually Neville Southall ?

No mate I'm just a normal man who is very comfortable financially and who personally doesn't feel the effects of a Tory government. Sadly I'm close to many who do feel the effects. You see despite what people will tell you not everybody has the same opportunities in life and therefore they aren't to be looked down on.

At the end of the day people are free to vote for whoever they want, free to read whatever paper they want and free to type out posts here on this very forum. You are also free to put your own self interests ahead of others every single time which is exactly what has been going on for the past nine years and will continue to happen when the country inevitably votes for Boris Johnson in the next few days.

Every now and then we get to rant about politics and look a bit like a nutter when we do so. In a few days it will come and go and political talk will make way for other headlines as always. Life will go on and the rich will get richer and the country will continue to be full of small minded bellends because nothing really ever changes.

Yeah, thats what I was saying since what seems months ago.

Thing is, all sides do it. Gonna get pelters for this, but in the spirit of the exchange, (social media/manipulation) ask yourself honestly, would you fall off your stool if that photo in Leeds hospital was in some way leaked/staged? Its a terrible thing to suggest, and I feel a bit grubby even putting it up as a discussion point, but hopefully you get the point I am painfully making.
