It's really not. You perhaps noticed how many from that era, such as Major, Clarke, Hesseltine, not to mention those on the Labour benches, are appalled at the direction both of their parties have gone in.

Well course because what they prescribe to has led to this very mess, they are not going freely admit too. Indeed it's their politics that has been in power shaping the country with policy, socially and economic. It's the failure bordering blind arrogance by those in power over the last decades not to admit they have got some things fundamentally wrong. We as a nation did not just wake up one morning and decide Europe and immigrants were the cause of all our ills.

Why am I not in the remotely surprised.

The BBC is bent and biased, they did a small half arsed mistake apology, about what they did with Johnson on rememberance Sunday 2019, where he stood out of line too early placed his wreath upside down at the cenotaph, they had to edit in 2016 footage, so to present him in the best possible way.

Universal Credit has proven to be an absolute travesty. The conservatives should hang their heads in shame over this.
but ‘get brexit done’ and ‘Abbott and police figures’ or something. No one seems to care about the most vulnerable

Friday was an interesting day...

I could have sworn Corbyn is an apostle of Tony Benn, and both spent their entire political career opposing the EU precisely because they thought it was a capitalist construct and immigrants were undercutting the wages of native workers? Apologies if I've imagined that like.

Two things. One, has Corbyn or his politics had their hands on the levers of power, no!? Two, check out Corbyns voting record on our EU Membership not what a Tory fact check site you have come across. Dear me!

I tell you what if there is something you want now is the time to ask the parties. Perhaps free servicing for your car or scrap RFL, don't like council tax and think that could be a vote winner, they'll consider it.

Never seen anything like it, total abandonment of responsibility chasing votes for a majority.

Oddly enough, I agree with you.

The WASPI policy, whilst well intended, stinks to high heaven of desperation from the Labour front bench.

I know for a fact that the internal polling for the North of England is horrendous. Been hearing off campaigners that people are completely reluctant to even talk to Labour canvassers as they feel we're a remain party now.

It's going to take something special for us to turn this around, but I'm beginning to come to terms with another five years of this.

I can't stress just how badly the decision to call for a second referendum was. I'm really sorry, but the key people that were attempting to bounce the leadership into changing its policy aren't exactly the sort of people that want to see a Labour government led by Jeremy Corbyn.

....I support Everton and Labour who are both managed by clueless individuals. The Reds top of the league, Johnson with 5 more years, it’s depressing.
I said the same to my lad yesterday. 5 years of Boris Johnson and the rs winning the league, how depressing. I just hope the idiots among the working class who voted for Johnson don't complain when their jobs disappear and they can't get healthcare.

...fighting an election on ‘selling the NHS to the US’, rather than the state of the NHS after 9 years Tory rule. Social care crisis, child poverty and food banks should be in every communication.

Why does everything in politics require a label?

The Labour points are criticised as being leftist, marxist and all the rest of the taglines they are carrying in the media. The tories still go on about brexit despite it being low down on the agenda and look to discredit labour rather than sell themselves as the better option.

Why label it? So what if labour are this or that? Just pull the policies of all parties up and vote for the one you prefer.

Like that woman crying on QT 'I never thought voting Tory would affect me.....'. I hope there's plenty of them.
