I completely disagree. They are the actions of a Party confident that they won't be held to account for their actions.

Exactly this. It's the equivalent of Trump saying he could shoot someone and his base not care. There is literally nothing shocking enough to move people like Pete's support for them, which is very unnerving.

It's no different to the way Putin is behaving on the international scene. He's taken over the last few years to being a troll on the international scene, as he knows there's absolutely no chance of anything happening as a result. This won't have gone un-noticed by the alt-right.

Ok, don't you know PM Jo Swinson... How is that hallowed center ground, bitter?

Claudia Webbe is from Leicester, pete
Boris Johnson states she is not, so therefore its true, simply logic, do as your told.

It's exactly the right phrase. They keep it hidden, but it's there.

A bit of nuance from you wouldn't go amiss.
We're very fortunate then to have you, with your fluent Cantonese; extensive experience of Hong Kong history, politics, and society; and years of on-the-ground investigative experience, to ferret out the malignant claw of the despotic lizard globalists for us.

Thank you for your service.

Q.

This left on left academic frisson is gripping and disturbing in equal measure.

Then why did the Chair of the local Labour Party resign over the matter ?......

He said it was because he didn’t think the party represented “decent working class“ people any more.

Now I think it’s possible to make an argument along those lines, but probably not when Keith Vaz has been his MP for most of those years without him resigning over any of it.

?

Au contraire. Mr abelard is no fanboy of 'lefties'.

He reads the Economist you know.

Chin up it's only the politics and economic legacy of the last 30 years that's playing out... The good old days, Thatcher, Major Blair Brown and Cameron/Clegg, it's enough to make someone cry...

It's really not. You perhaps noticed how many from that era, such as Major, Clarke, Hesseltine, not to mention those on the Labour benches, are appalled at the direction both of their parties have gone in.

They are appalled, though of course the fact that both parties have gone away from that lot is sort of connected to what that lot did during the years of them being in charge, and their general failure in political terms.

I mean take Putin as an example. How is it that despite everything he has done, the British (and EU) lives snuffed out because of him, that most of our political class are still unwilling to take any sort of substantial action at protecting our politics against his interference?
