Sturgeon did well but there's a pretty low bar for her to impress. There's not much she can mess up given her position and the limited reach she's going for.

Corbyn rode the waves fairly well. The Brexit one was the trickiest and I thought he did alright and his neutral position came across as reasonable to me but will remain a stick for others to beat him with which is kind of understandable.

Swinson could have done better and her voting record is always going to see her struggle against a lot of criticisms.

Johnson was a predictable car crash - the man can't speak unless it's stage managed entirely on his own terms. It's unfathomable that the Conservative party overlooks so many to put him at the top.

A fair and accurate assessment sir.

Sickening isn't it, vast majority of this country are brainwashed by Tory supporting media, Labour announces plans to improve the lives of at least 95% in the country and the donuts don't want it because Boris Johnson is a character.

The whole thing is rigged by the rich to give the the Tories a massive advantage.

Editing Starmer interview rebranding that Conservative site to look like a fact check site, the need to talk about just one subject, they are not actions of a confident Party...

It's a set up that the LP walked into - Corbyn should never have been corralled into the nonsensical Brexit policy he was forced to adopt. This will be a defeat for the utterly bankrupt Blairite right in the party...the PLP are a hangover from that era and it's their last and greatest defeat. They forced this on the party. The only silver cloud to come in this election is the huge amount of that lot who'll be dumped out of the party forever.

5 more years of Tory disaster is not an ideal way of re-energising the party, but that's what will happen. Candidates with the right stuff will only be selected from now on.

No wonder you support a bunch of crypto fascists in Hog Kong.

It's your nuance and deep appreciation of context that finally won me over on this point

Ordinary fascists, sure, but crypto??

It's exactly the right phrase. They keep it hidden, but it's there.

A bit of nuance from you wouldn't go amiss.

We're very fortunate then to have you, with your fluent Cantonese; extensive experience of Hong Kong history, politics, and society; and years of on-the-ground investigative experience, to ferret out the malignant claw of the despotic lizard globalists for us.

Thank you for your service.

Sorry mate, I know you're bent out of shape over being dealt with on the HK rioters thread.

There was no need for that outocme though - all you needed to do was to show flexibility and accpet that a conflict of that nature has complexity to it.

It really was too easy to take apart your simplistic assessment. In the end (as above) you had to resort to the 'authority' of being there to try and overcome the obvious weakness of your position. Something for you to think about for the future and your many national newspaper articles.

...its in all our interests to have an electable Labour Party but they will be destined to be in the wilderness forever if they don’t learn the lessons of this strategy. Getting rid of well rounded, centre left MPs will further isolate them. Too many talk like shop stewards, too many are ex-Union officials. Bottom line is, that doesn’t attract the voters they need to attract.

When Corbyn beats Burnham in a leadership contest and then Burnham escapes Westminster, it says everything that is wrong with the party. The fundamental problem for the Labour Party is the Labour Party.

It's the way they are getting rid of them as well Eggs, it comes across as being a tad underhanded.
