They are appalled, though of course the fact that both parties have gone away from that lot is sort of connected to what that lot did during the years of them being in charge, and their general failure in political terms.

I mean take Putin as an example. How is it that despite everything he has done, the British (and EU) lives snuffed out because of him, that most of our political class are still unwilling to take any sort of substantial action at protecting our politics against his interference?

The government admire and respect him and his approach?

He reads the Economist you know.

...he contributes think pieces to "a number of national newspapers".

We're in the presence of genius.

Two of those, certainly. They are after all pushing the same kind of strong-man, “get X sorted out”, xenophobic, corrupt and anti-democratic guff as he and the rest of the big men who infest current global politics are.

Trump’s views on our current Government are well known, and Modi’s party are by all accounts actively campaigning for them, using the same community hatreds they’ve successfully reheated up in India (hatreds which the Tories have themselves dabbled in). Even the financial links between the top of Russian politics and the Tories are relatively obvious.

Looking at this week's polling and our slide in them I am worried that even though our manifesto is a work of art it doesn't go far enough. I look at how former successful socialist countries like the USSR and China under Mao and Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge had full control given to their fantastic governments and wonder whether we ought to be promising the public something similar.

Universal Credit has proven to be an absolute travesty. The conservatives should hang their heads in shame over this.
but ‘get brexit done’ and ‘Abbott and police figures’ or something. No one seems to care about the most vulnerable
