Five days ago, Boris Johnson went up North to flooded areas for a photo opportunity, only when Corbyn visits flood hit areas, points out that the south when it flood gets a better response from Government, only then does Johnson actually pulls his out of touch finger out...

But isn't that what an effective opposition should be forcing the government to do?

They will, and they’ll be far more outraged over that than the fact that the average FTSE 100 CEO makes more than 100 times their annual salary, ie: earns in three days what they get in a year.
Spot on. The Tories have well and truly turned the working class against the working class. That alone will keep them in power for the foreseeable.

Honestly, other than like-signalling, who is really arsed? Who genuinely cares if we are talking about Big Jez, Bozza, JoSwis, Cowardly Nige?

We use Iceland, Rico, Snivelley, Calorie-Loser etc etc in Everton forum without it being some bizzare moral issue

It doesn't bother me greatly, I normally call him Johnson, but I switch to Boris sometimes - normally when I think he's a joke.

It's about the familiarity of it, it humanizes and endears you to the person - which you might think is not be the best way to treat someone who you are expected to hold to account.

'Boris said that Sitre could be the next Dubai if it cleared away the dead bodies' plays much better than 'Mr Johnson said that Sitre could be the next Dubai if it cleared away the dead bodies'

One, I think, suggests a character, while the other attributes his behaviour directly to him.

From experience, the hard working class are often more effected by the non working class. If they are seeing crime and anti social behaviour on their estates they are going to want something done. Corbyn struggles to see that working class are not just one group.

This is wonderful. I hope Labour will do likewise, in, say, Richmond.

I suspect neither party will be in a position to formally endorse this on a wide scale, but perhaps they can not interfere too loudly when local candidates are seen to take the initiative themselves.

Sadly, the LibDem reaction to this bold move downrigh5 depressing.

Swinson is probably hankering to see the clock set back to 2010....Tory minority government propped up by their fiscally economic cousins.

Please let the SNP surge sweep her out again in East Dumbartonshire.

The support for the utterly insane demands of the McDonalds workers is another reason not to vote Labour.

To be fair, the wife responded well when I said her upset at burger flippers wanting more than 2 degrees and 10+ years in the NHS is giving her was a clear representation of the inverse class struggle that the Murdoch-driven media has foisted upon us.

Out of interest, have Labour pledged to stand down candidates to form a 'remain alliance'?

I hope you also tut-tutted her on the folly of considering her status in relative rather than absolute terms

Jeez, so much silly bother about this £15 figure being quoted by all and sundry, even the leader of the opposition.

Everyone knows you start way higher than what you think you might realistically get when haggling over something like this.

Their demands were as much about working conditions as pay, anyway.

My constituency is Tory, with a god awful mp who is rabid anti Eu. Labour and Lib Dem have about the same amount of votes and would probably oust the mp if one of them dropped out. To be honest, the Lib Dem candidate seems a better bet. Absolutely no chance of this happening though.
There should have been better opposition party dialogue and cooperation prior to the election if these parties feel that Johnson’s brexit deal would be so detrimental.
