Tommy Robinson has just been arrested (and subsequently released it seems) for "Breach of the peace" whilst outside the court, as he was covering the Huddersfield grooming case. He was streaming live at the time and it's starting to get a lot of attention. From what I have seen of it he was appearing to do nothing wrong. I disagree with a lot of his views (and I know he is widely derided on here), but this will no doubt get viewed (quite rightly possibly) as another restriction of freedom of free speech?

Freedom of speech or freedom to spout a load of b0ll0cks and lies to demonise a minority purely because they are different.
Thing is he uses tragic and abhorrent behaviour of a small group of idiots to imply and infer that a whole community is complicit.
Should he be challenged for talking crap ? absolutely but arresting him is pointless and stupid. There’s a saying give idiot enough rope and watch him hang himself.
I have absolutely no idea why people are questioning the Robinson arrest. He wasn't there to impartially report - he was there to take advantage of a situation to incite racial hatred by equating the actions of few with the many.
It's as no-brainer an arrest as you could possibly hope to see. It's a textbook definition of the crime.

@Tubey and @Toffeeslam - I completely agree. Robinson has zero interest in the due process of law (and the presumption of innocence). I now see that on Twitter someone posted all the defendants names, ages and addresses and the charges. This is why we are supposed to have the Rule of Law in this country instead of allowing the mob to hang every potential killer and rapist from the nearest tree. We used to grant anonymity to many people and assume them innocent until proven guilty. We all know why Robinson is stood outside the court filming. It's not as if some or even all of the defendants will avoid conviction - that's exactly what the courts are designed to do (and for the most part they do achieve the rightful outcomes). I couldn't care less what fate befalls scum like Robinson for his inciteful actions (or indeed anyone guilty of the crimes the defendants are accused of, whatever their ethnic background... but hey we don't hear Rolf Harris being referred to in the press as a white Christian now do we?)
