I suppose that's my biggest bone of contention with the whole lot of them. They seem to take themselves all far too seriously. As I get older and a bit more clued up on how Westminster/Whitehall works, the more I think that ideology matters a whole lot less than competence, and that's probably not good as most politicians (of whatever stripe) have spent their entire careers in politics, either in think tanks, campaign groups or their respective parties. It's a world wrapped up in ideology. Thinking rather than doing.

If I wanted someone to run a campaign for me, Corbyn would be near the top of the list. He's spent his entire career campaigning and is pretty good at it. Is he any good at running a government? Even his hardiest supporters must admit that we have absolutely no idea.

If you were a talented fellow/fellowess with creativity, energy etc then you arent gonna be in politics at all...and here is the problem

Good to see as you get older you are becoming a bit more clued up. One day you will even agree that Brexit was the way forward....... todays politicians are less than useless, previously many had real world experience of business or the military, nowadays they just haven’t a clue.......

"Likewise, white women are equally aware their race privileges them as surely as ours condemns us. In this context, their tearful displays are a form of emotional and psychological violence that reinforce the very system of white dominance that many white women claim to oppose."

Today I learned white women crying is a form of violence.

I hope you don't take The Guardian's Op-Ed section too seriously. No one should. Generally, does a disservice to actual issues that need attention and thoughtful analysis.

It's called history mate. Perhaps you'd like to study it?

A lot of them in central London today. I wouldn't mind if at least some of the people pushing for socialism had spent any time at all actually living in a socialist country rather than the fantasy socialist country they have in their heads.

A lot of people should try living at the other end of the poverty scale before they inflict poverty causing policies on a majority of the nation....it's just a sweet, sweet fantasy.

Where exactly do you think an ideology should be held?

Am I reading that right mate? The majority of the population are in poverty?

There are plenty of countries that are more socialist than ours, just in Europe, that I'm sure some of them have experienced. Why are you using absolutes suggesting that they all want to emulate the Soviet Union, or an extreme manifestation?
