The reason I have stopped engaging with this thread is that its become too fascist. Its no longer a debating forum, its about some people essentially saying "If you don't believe what I believe" you're an idiot, naive etc, etc. There are a number of people with very fixed positions who seek to impose those positions on others - and then expect them to act in the way they want them to.

I'm nobodies puppet, least of all Davek, or Changs.

When we can get back to the traditions of our forums where we can discuss things rather than trying to bludgeon someone to death to hate another person, I'll join in. Until then I have no wish to become a clone of Davek.

Peace in.

i have stated why i cannot and will not trust this board, i have yet to hear any, apart from"employed moyes, stood on boys pen"argument to change my mind.. i USED to believe that bill was a good thing for the club, and supporters. but the evidence is there for all to see. he has LIED to the supporters, he has cost us a great stadium,KD, and tried to put us in a disgraceful stadium,DK. and i defy anyone to tell me Kirkby was anywhere near the opportunity KD was.
i did this by reading what was on offer, listening to ALL sides of the debate. and coming to a logical conclusion. i am no sheep either, nor am i gullible, as bill would like ,you are entitled to your opinion, i am entitled to disagree, there are some people who think this debate should be closed, that is a mistake. simply because a decision has to be made on our future, if you close the debate now, how will you influence it?
for those that belittle us that still feel passionate about this issue , ask yourself this, what is the future for everton football club, is it staying at GP, or moving,? because until that decision is made, it affects us all, well those that believe it is important for the fans to have a say. but carry on learning your new language, maybe that is more important than the clubs future to some.

message to the club

just sent this message to the club, im fed up hearing our expectations are to high ffs, if they dont have the same expectations as us , thay can do one.:@

expectations.

Having been a supporter since i can remember, hearing stories of greats from my grandfather, as many of us do. i find that recently my feelings toward the club are being torn. i understand we are not a rich club, like chelsea and man city. however, statements from both players and manager have started to ring alarm bells.
"supporters expectations are to high" "why do supporters expect to achieve higher than seventh". its simple, we are the fourth most successful club in england, we have a history rich in honours and achievments. we demand success because its what we are used to. maybe not as much as we would like, or of two other rival teams. but success IS demanded. in my opinion, we have been very poorly run as a club since Mr Moores retired, we have lacked a sense of purpose and direction from the boardroom down. we now have a manager who if feel could bring us the success we crave, however, to hear these statements from within the club is not what i, or other supporters, wants to hear.
i dont know why we have been so poorly run, there seems to be enough "businessmen" on the board, yet we still cannot achieve any kind of financial investment, Mr Kenwright still talks of "investment" yet we have very wealthy (apparently) men in the boardroom. no wonder he cannot find investment if people WITHIN the club cannot, or will not, invest their money. it does not send out a positive message.
its an old adage that you have to speculate to accumulate, there is little evidence of this being the case within the club, i wonder why?
i feel the negative statements from within the club do not auger well for the transfer window. so once again, its left to chance, will the manager again defy the odds and find a talented bargain? or will another club pay over the odds so we can pay the bills and MAYBE ,have enough left for some players.
some of us want change within the club, for this reason. we dont want a billionaire, just someone with the finance to give the manager funds early, and run the club with a business plan for the future and a drive to match the managers. because we dont seem to have that now.

The club will not react to these things at all funnily enough, because it means nothing to them. I agree mainly with the op but I don't think the board are too much in the wrong, if they can't secure investment that's it and until they do, staying around sevnth and sixth for a couple of years is no embarassment,i'm just waiting for us to become the club we actually have the potential to be, it will happen do not worry about that, we have a much bigger and sustained history than the likes of forest, wednesday and leeds.

Genuine question. Given that the old protest scarf is now on sale in Ebay (OK one), was any more produced for the home game?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Everton-Amber-and-Blue-Protest-Scarf-/280672806907?_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D2%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D161700283809159288

I would say that you can't sell something if there is nobody to buy, therefore while i understand the letter, the trick is to persuade the Board to sell (they say that they want to anyway), at the same time persuade some genuine people to buy.
