its funny how you pulled me up on the grammar, and not the subject of the email. at least i did SOMETHING, what about you? and maybe im confrontational because it means something to me. maybe the fact we cannot do the simplest task without looking like complete amatuers really angers me, considering these are supposed to be "businessmen". but you continue your grammar crusade,me? i will continue to show my distrust and anger at the incompetant FOOLS(not businessmen) until they start proving otherwise.

Thank you for proving my point.

pedantic to the end, very sad.

So, after the board have received your poorly written missive, can we expect mass resignations by tea time?

Seriously, joking aside, what do you expect the board to do once they receive your missive?

i dont expect them to do anything, it was a way to vent my frustration at the people mis running our club. badly written or otherwise, it was my way of showing my feelings about the total lack of professionalism in the boardroom. but as you have, for some inexplicable reason, total trust in them. you wouldnt understand.

Putting words in people's mouths to try and prove a point, bravo.

Please do tell, what 'total lack of professionalism' are you referring to ? I mean if you hate the board so much i expect you've done thorough research to back up your claims.

just sent this message to the club, im fed up hearing our expectations are to high ffs, if they dont have the same expectations as us , thay can do one.:@

expectations.

Having been a supporter since i can remember, hearing stories of greats from my grandfather, as many of us do. i find that recently my feelings toward the club are being torn. i understand we are not a rich club, like chelsea and man city. however, statements from both players and manager have started to ring alarm bells.
"supporters expectations are to high" "why do supporters expect to achieve higher than seventh". its simple, we are the fourth most successful club in england, we have a history rich in honours and achievments. we demand success because its what we are used to. maybe not as much as we would like, or of two other rival teams. but success IS demanded. in my opinion, we have been very poorly run as a club since Mr Moores retired, we have lacked a sense of purpose and direction from the boardroom down. we now have a manager who if feel could bring us the success we crave, however, to hear these statements from within the club is not what i, or other supporters, wants to hear.
i dont know why we have been so poorly run, there seems to be enough "businessmen" on the board, yet we still cannot achieve any kind of financial investment, Mr Kenwright still talks of "investment" yet we have very wealthy (apparently) men in the boardroom. no wonder he cannot find investment if people WITHIN the club cannot, or will not, invest their money. it does not send out a positive message.
its an old adage that you have to speculate to accumulate, there is little evidence of this being the case within the club, i wonder why?
i feel the negative statements from within the club do not auger well for the transfer window. so once again, its left to chance, will the manager again defy the odds and find a talented bargain? or will another club pay over the odds so we can pay the bills and MAYBE ,have enough left for some players.
some of us want change within the club, for this reason. we dont want a billionaire, just someone with the finance to give the manager funds early, and run the club with a business plan for the future and a drive to match the managers. because we dont seem to have that now.

The very first sentence is incomplete and thus makes no sense whatsoever: "Having been a supporter since i can remember, hearing stories of greats from my grandfather, as many of us do."

I imagine they'll stop reading there.

We've been here a million times before and no amount of letters will change the economic realities of the football business model. In order to make any money out of Everton (and that remember is the only reason to inject hundreds of millions into a business) we'll need a new stadium. Stadium's cost 150 million plus (probably more in England).

Our only hope seems to be finding an investor in the stadium project similar to Tesco or someone willing to buy the club without a new stadium and bet on investment in Moyes' squad to produce on the field results and lead us into the champions league. The latter option just doesn't seem to happen anymore since Leeds went down the plughole and the former option we've already tried.

In the meantime, in the midst of a recession, the only buyers that seem to be circling are the worst kind. Yet every time another club gets new owners people come on here, furious that we haven't been bought.

Ask the fans of West Ham (new owners Gold Sullivan) and Birmingham (new owners Yeung) and Blackpool (new owner Valeri Belokon) how they feel about new owners. Ask Blackburn fans. Ask Portsmouth, Southampton etc. Most new owners are w@nk.

But this will continue ad infinitum.

Fans want their teams to win. We have no money. We will make no big signings compared to other teams. To alleviate the negative dissonance fans will come on this forum and sling mud at the board unable to face the reality that they have no money to invest and unwilling to believe nobody wants to buy the club. Instead they will conjecture on Kenwright's hubris and his high asking price. Some will even design scarves and start campaigns.

I fail to see how it will contribute anything positive to the dilemma.

i dont hate the board, i find the way they run the club questionable , you want proof? look at their track record. its all there for you to read, and maybe the grammar is correct, but the rest is pure farce. but its what you want to see at the end of the day.

at least your comments made sense, i may not agree fully but thats ok. i have said we dont need a billionaire, just someone with a workable business plan. which is sadly lacking at the moment, we are barely treading water at the moment. its a situation which cannot carry on for long.

Good post Leon.
Footy fans screaming for a king's ransom to spend on transfers every season is a bit like selfish children hounding their parent/guardians for extra pocket money when they know damn well they can't afford to give em it.

Absolutely. Have you got any better ideas besides trying to expand onto Goodison?
