His shareholding is part of Bill Kenwright Limited, a company that has a annual turnover of 46 mill with reserve capital of 11.7 mill.

Let's disregard turnover and concentrate on his companies reserve capital - if you're right, he used 8 million or 68% of his total reserve capital to purchase stock in Everton FC?

I know he's an idiot, but he's not that stupid surely. (or is he?) it also doesn't add-up, surely he would be attempting to recoup that investment asap???? Well mr 24x7 is no nearer to securing that possibility than he was 3 years ago

The shareholding was held by Bill Kenwright LTD and if there was debt owed on it, it is the companys liability. From 2008 - 2009 the shareholding was held by Bill Kenwright LTD. The group absorbed the debt posting profits and no debt for the year. In 2009 Bill gave himself his sharehodling as a dividend specie and removed the Everton shareholding from Bill Kenwright LTD. No reserve capital was used.

Bill Kenwright, son of a brickie, liverpool born, and totally crap businessman who somehow ended up owning a substantial chunk of Everton Football Club.

I'm waiting for the day that one of the more superior billionaire businessmen on this forum (davek, chang, mutzo) decide to buy EFC and run it the way it should be run - something that surely should be a piece of piss considering what economic experts they all are.

Its an intresting debate, both Bill Kenwright LTD and Evertons Turnover has more then doubled under his tenure. Hes quite a wealthy man, not as wealthy as many would like, but not the pauper others think he is. Intresting to note, the year he took on the shareholding debt onto BKL - he didnt take a divedend out of the company, meaning he was massively out of pocket and his company possibly took a massive hit becuase of his Everton Shareholding. Not to mention the fact he and no other director takes a wage out of the club.

So he let his bread and butter comapny take a hit, waived his dividend the same year from BKL (1mill the year he took his Everton sharholding out of BKL) and works for nothing for Everton. Bleeding us dry compleatly!

Consider me Morpheus, plugging people out of the matrix.

It's in the club's articles of association that no director takes a wage from the club. Theoretically all shareholdersd can take a dividend but historically it's always been waived.

Consider me your fcuking daddy!!!! :hay:

I've been trying to set up some lucrative theatrical productions for the intelligensia, but all the venues are tied up with low brow pile it high ****e for the masses ventures. :(

It's got everything to is do with politics if companies are flouting the law. The Leeds example is a case in point, and I'd expect the kick up the arse today will make sure a name is coughed up by that club. As for Green: his connection with Kenwright and via him Everton is well documented. If there's any suggestion he's acting as a shadow director then that needs investigating.

Told you....

Leeds United statement:

"The scaremongering arising out of the football governance inquiry has not been helpful and, whilst the board were always confident that there were no issues, recognise the concern the unknown outcome of any Premier League questions may have on our members," said the statement.
"To address this issue and in the hope that this brings an end to the speculation, the chairman Ken Bates has completed the purchase of FSF Limited for an undisclosed sum."

...now we just need a light shone on Everton's shadow directorate.

The board are ambitious. The setting up of the world's best training ground at Finch Farm and the move to Kirkby proves that.

The problem is that they are naive. Kirkby could not work being rejected because of poor transport connections. The station at Kirkby could have been expanded to 8 platforms, but at great expense as the station is in a cutting, and put in two tracks back to Aintree race course -the station is one track This was not in the plan, and EFC would be expected to pay a substantial part of the construction, so of course it was rejected.

The Council are giving them a hand in solving the transport problem in getting them involved in opening the rapid-transit eastern section of the Outer Loop line, forming a full loop of the city, along with LFC. THere are many suitable stadium sites along the line The line will ensure success as at Arsenal. And we all gain an extra rapid-transit rail line.

The club can't move on until the stadium issue is solved as revenues are just not high enough. The Council are taking the lead here - not the EFC, or LFC, boards. I doubt they would have thought of opening the line at all.

kirkby was not niave, it was incompetance, a very poor choice promoted by a board lacking in vision, finance and integrity. you have spouted many things i have not agreed with, this one ,in particular. i do not have the same degree of expertise as some per se , that rail infrastructure, but having witnessed first hand the humiliating experience of DK, and the other complete failures of this board, i must point out, your talking s''t.
