The Equaliser
Player Valuation: £50m
At least he didn't waste £15m on Bentley.
Or £28m on Veron.
Or £30m on Shevchenko.
Or £32m on Robinho.
Or £18m on Jo.
Or £35m on Carroll.
Or £50m on Torres.
Or £20m on Keane.
etc, etc, etc.
All the supposed 'top' clubs/managers have made (very) expensive signing which haven't worked. How people can criticise Moyes for this is daft, just because a couple didn't work out.
Anyway all this goes back to lack of forward planning and thinking by the Carter regime when we were the champions in 1987. You can't make an accurate comparison between the period since then and other eras, because we failed to jump on the money-making train back then. And we're paying for it today.
