Sounds like they can handle it tbf. The sales will bring their debt down massively.

"American owner Randy Lerner invested £25m. There was an £8.3m reduction in bank borrowings."

Wish we could come out with 2 similar sentences.

We dont borrow anywhere in the region of 8.3mill, never mind reducing our borrowings by that annual amount. Stuck £20 quid on Villa do go down today, Bent will be a big loss and they are sinking badly.

To be fair Matt is playing Chess while eveyone else is playing Draughts when it comes to football finances.

Erm what?

I think you will find we took a loan out this Year for well in excess of that amount.

Queen to F5, Checkmate.

Cool your heels. The Financial Review team are still in the dog house over claims of Everton's stability. 18 months ago Damonator (and your good self) were glorying in Villa's fire sale believieng we had enough about us to avoid that because borrowing wasn't out of control like Villa's. 12 months later we had our own firesale, precisely because Everton's borrowings WERE out of control.

Oh how soon we forget, eh?
