You don’t actually know that do you Pete?
What we do know:

  • Objectively it was serious enough to meet the criteria of bullying (in a world where tension and shouting at people is fairly commonplace)
  • The report was asked to be palatable by the PM (unconventional interference in independent process from the PM)
  • On publication of the outcome, the PM backed his minister (fairly uncommon)
  • Author resigns at the position.
  • The Government haven't released the full report..
"We don't know enough to say for certain".

The worrying thing really is the lack of collective opposition to this shambles.

I wonder if he would be deluded enough to think that going after Brexit was done would be going out on a high roydo.

I just think it gives him a pretty convenient excuse. (Could cite Covid side effects as well)

He could still sit as an MP, (£40k pay cut, give or take), and/or pick up his Telegraph columns again. (£600k, give or take).

He has never really shown a desire to do anything longterm. I dont think he is that arsed about politics once he has got to PM, he isnt some idealist or campaigner, and isnt turned on by being a public servant.

Being Mayor of London turned him on, cos he didnt have to actually do much. And no one noticed anyrate. If the Olympics hadnt rocked up, I doubt he would have bothered with that neither.
