Wow, some people are really bitter towards public sector workers aren’t they?
One of oldest right wing snow flakes troll tool attack lines in a forum. Of course what they want is a response of something like I wish I was on the Private Sector gravy train - being paid by the State to sit at home watching Netflix for 9 months...

There’s a lot of angry white men going after an Asian lady in here.

I hope you are not suggesting what I think you are suggesting......

Yep, positive discrimination is equally as bad, not sure why either of you are trying.

Sometimes in a crisis, and let’s be honest Boris has got Brexit/Covid/Economy to deal with, you want people around you that you can trust to get a job done. He may have it wrong, but I for one would not seek to weaken his team at this particular moment in time.....
Boris has got a lot on his plate, probably more than any recent PM. Do you think that there is no one in the cohort of current Conservative MP’s who could be possibly be Home Secretary? Maybe he would strengthen his team by making a change. I’m sure you would know that leading Plc’s often make changes at Board level to seek fresh perspective. Why not here? I’m not sure what she has been doing anyway. Where has she been during the pandemic?
Given your view that although she has done wrong but she should stay as to not weaken the cabinet, what is the limit, in your opinion for a cabinet minister to have to go in these times? Embezzlement? Drugs?

I personally would have no problem in removing her as I do not think she has been particularly effective....

I know it's a case of damned if he does, damned if he doesn't but, after the debacle with Cummings and Boris defending him to the hilt then he's not doing himself any favours by backing someone else who has been in breach of what he supposedly believes in.

Yet it shows strength and loyalty to his cabinet. This gives confidence to the team. Her mistake was to show emotion instead of removing or sacking anyone trying to frustrate her aims and policies....

We are in a political age of no standards, where telling lies to the public has become the norm. Realistically you can’t blame politicians for lying to us as we don’t hold them to account, I am a believer in the old adage “you get the politicians you deserve”. We, as a nation, deserve this lot.
Tbf it was only 30odd percent dullards wasn't it? Still terrible like.

A cabinet of liars, bullies and incompetents?
Very low bar that.
You must have derived great pleasure from sacking people in your illustrious career
