A real answer on what? I'm agreeing with you....
Of course….
A real answer on what? I'm agreeing with you....
Labour shortages are because the Government put a stupid high wage scale for anyone to come & work here - drop that & jobs would be filled Bruce .....I mean it's not rocket science

How Germany went from Europe’s economic locomotive to its laggard
Supply chain bottlenecks and weak household spending depress growth in eurozone’s largest economywww.ft.com
German industry is heavily reliant on Russian energy, and its products are sold heavily in China. The former has obviously been choked off and the latter is significantly down, both via a weakening Chinese economy and global supply chain issues.
A lot of the UK's issues are down to labour shortages, and while the ending of free movement isn't the only reason for that, it's a pretty big contributing factor, as this report from the University of Oxford demonstrates
Brexit exacerbated labour shortages in the UK, but is not the only cause - Migration Observatory

Couple that with real weaknesses in areas like the LSE and the chaotic Tory government over the past six years, and it's not great for the UK, hence why we've got such awful economic performance relative to the G7.
Might it be one has a competent government, and one doesnt?
These things tend to rot from the head.

Oh, so it’s all Germany’s fault! lollolSo Germany is in the crap, and Germany is our second largest export market. I mean it’s not rocket science is it……
Oh, so it’s all Germany’s fault! lollol
Yeah, except exports to Germany are up over 4%. I fear my previous comment stands.Oh, so it’s all Germany’s fault! lollol
I read the posts Pete. It’s the Germans, Last week it was the Albanians, the week before that it was Civil Servants. Before that the back stabbers and for a very long time it was Starmer. It was never the fault of the Government of the past 12 years and never Brexit. This despite Businesses all over the UK, big and small citing the significantly increased cost and difficulty caused by Brexit particularly for exporters and those requiring casual labour. No, and nor is it Brexits fault…try reading the posts…..

Perhaps some kind of Trade deal with our key trading partners might help?
The Government have only had six years to come up with one.
It’s not ALL Brexit’s fault, no one in here is saying it is, but you continue to suggest that it has no negative effect despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. You wonder why no one takes you seriously.

So, serious question, why is the biggest and most robust economy in Europe, Germany, in the same boat…….
As you can see @peteblue, that wasn’t your question. The issue is that many on here just point and say Brexit. So my question was how did Brexit affect Germany….
