It's actually illegal to distribute prescribed medicines I believe
You and I it certainly is...It's actually illegal to distribute prescribed medicines I believe
I'm a keen observer of some aspects of health policy and I predict this will be sold as something around empowering expert patients, personal responsibility and reducing health inequalities by improving access to GPs. There'll probably even be a Web app to train patients in self-expert prescribing. Or something.Unless it was meddlesome Brussels' red tape that was burnt on the Brexit bonfire of bureaucracy it most certainly is. Premises, dispenser all that stuff has to be licensed, just more nanny state madness though.
I remember in the halcyon days of yore, gentlemen amateurs could administer all manner of cure-alls via comically shaped devices made from tin. Cornish tin. None of that Luxembourg rubbish.
Remember All Creatures Great and Small? The BBC should go back to making television like that. Good clean programs that the whole family could watch.
Of course, you can't even say family these days... and so on

What could possibly go wrong?
Which is ironic given they're very big on preaching individual responsibility. It's hard for things to go wrong if you never acknowledge problems or take responsibility for them.
But there is something very comforting about the Tories refusal to trust in training, professional standards, qualifications, best practice and so on. Like a collective Dunning-Kruger effect; Pharmacy? Huh, anyone can do that, just handing over pills and whatnot. Anyone could do that and so we'll make it possible that anyone can.
Labour won't need a manifesto at this rate, just promises to undo the absolute carnage of these libertarian fanatics.

I don’t think so tbh. There is no requirement for them to do so. A party’s manifesto isn’t legally binding and it’s expected that a party’s policies and personnel may change dramatically over the course of their term.Got to be an election if Truss gets forced out
They have no mandate at this stage

But at the same time, nobody voted for furlough or eat out to help out or sanctions on Russia. As Kier Starmer in the Commons correctly stated nobody has voted for this...
