….it’s terminology. No cuts means little more monies. The public sector pay round will be significant.
Do we reckon this government will even get so far as to have any say on the next round of pay awards?
Would they even want to impose say a 1% rise on public sector workers? Surely that doesn't just mess up the tiny chance they have in an election. It would probably lead to a near wipeout.
You would certainly be looking at something resembling a general strike.
The more I think about it. The more I think it would be best for the Tories to call an election soon. Get it over and done with and see what they have left, and rebuild.
They may need to take a smashing to acknowledged their mistakes and take stock.
Keep going, and tell everyone we are in austrity again, with run away inflation and soaring interest rates. I don't see how you come back from that, for a very very long time.
