Anyone else raise a chuckle at Johnson and Kwarteng apparently asking energy companies to reinvest their huge profits?

But I thought if we didn't tax them they'd do it willingly for the benefit of the tax payer. Who'd a thunk, huh?

Shocking, absolutely shocking state of affairs mate.

When we see terms such as Lefty lawyers being used, and the maligning of Health and Safety at Work this is the kind of situation that arises, and has done for a very long time. The pursuit of higher profit and/or efficiency needs to be balanced against the human cost too.

How does the government think it's going to build 40 new hospitals when it can't even staff or maintain the one's it already has. I think people from accross the political divide need to look at this because regardless of whether or not an individual has BUPA etc, if they require emergency medical treatment their first point of contact is with the NHS. I feel so sorry for the staff and patients that have to be in those buildings every day.

We could have spent the Track and Trace money on projects like this but instead decided it was a better idea to put it away nice and safe alongside the Arteta money.

In hindsight mate but we had all the woke demanding track and trace despite being told it wouldn't work in a country like the UK just because it worked in places like Korea and Vietnam.

It's crazy that they go after the ECHR after a conservative MP basically wrote the thing.

In terms of the NHS it really is at breaking point. Anecdotal but I was just told to expect an appointment with the ENT in 15-18 months, just for an appointment!
