Can't be happy with anything but a win every single home game from now on imo. Even if we win every one we wouldn't have enough for the top four.

Yes mate know what you mean win all your home games and draw all your aways(from start of season) and we would be well happy.I Just Can`t see that happening though.

You can pretty much predict where a club will end up in the league by comparing its wage bill to other clubs. Liverpool massively underperformed in this respect last year, of course, but as long as their wage bill is twice ours, the smart money will be on them finishing above us most seasons.

This season, I think it's still too early to tell. Sometimes they look useful, sometimes a bit suspect. Much the same could be said about is, to be honest. Arsenal and Spurs both have more strength in depth than us, particularly Spurs, but they both have slightly suspect temperaments when the going gets tough (it could be argued).

I expect Chelsea to be pushing for 1st or 2nd place by the end of the season.

Long, long way to go, though.

If Arsenal & City & cheski get all the pens as they have all season & we get nowt it will be hard to break the usual suspects who end up in the top four - Spurs us & below are all knocking on the door we have drew far too many games via some bad ref decsions!

The rs have been struggling to score and have agreed a 12 million fee for Sturridge, will this signing get the goals to help them get 4th?

Arsenal always seem to get enough wins to finish 4th

We will make no big signings so this can cause to lose 4th, we need another goal scorer just like the rs but our board wont take the gamble.

Aye. I know I'm putting too much hope on Wigan at home but it feels good that halfway through the season we might be 7 points from that milestone. Do the same second half of the season and we'll finish with 66 pts.
