The rs have been struggling to score and have agreed a 12 million fee for Sturridge, will this signing get the goals to help them get 4th?

Arsenal always seem to get enough wins to finish 4th

We will make no big signings so this can cause to lose 4th, we need another goal scorer just like the rs but our board wont take the gamble.

Spurs and Arsenal but WBA has been doing well and people have been writing them off but they've kept on going. Arsenal are infamous for their bad runs so I'm thinking they won't cut it this season. I actually think the Shi'ite might be a decent side with Sturridge and a few possible additions so they are in the mix too, but as it's crowded up top they need a lot of luck (which they admittedly tend to have) to get in the mix but they have the same point total as Stoke and Norwich and I really can't see those teams even getting in to the Europa league so I guess I just don't know. If we don't weaken during this transfer window, and I believe we won't, I expect it to be us and Spurs going for that fourth spot.

I imagine they will be pretty close come the end of the season, they will probably clinch 4th spot when they beat us at Anfield on the 4th of May 2013.

Spurs and Arse. The sh*te will finish 7th this season. WBA 8th. At the moment, the pessimist in me thinks Arse are about to pull away and leave us and Spurs to fight for fifth. As long as we keep the pace, there's always a chance though!

EDIT: I wouldn't be disappointed at all with fifth though. It'd be a monumental achievement, given where we were 18 months ago and the money we've spent since then compared to others.

yeah the rs have the same points as Norwich and stoke but will be spending more money on those two, the rs have bought a striker, are after Ince and Butland, they are throwing money at their problems where other clubs cant.

We need to beat Wigan, Arsenal aren't playing Boxing Day so although they'll have a game in hand if we're a good few points ahead of them it could deflate them.

I was writing that and then I started thinking that it might well be the case but I wanted to make the math easy for my little head which is still a bit rough. Anyway for fourth spot I think it's gonna be a flip between Everton/ΈβεÏ￾τον. I'd prefer it to be Cheese instead of Chase so that who ever gets fourth gets cheese.
