What America needs is another major party to split the the Dems and Republicans, they are so divisive and cannot work on anything, Obama wanted universal HC and the Republicans stopped that, he wanted to overhaul Gun legislation and they stopped that, you see the issue with abortion, immigration, legalised drugs and its the same thing.

A third party maybe to the centre needs to come in and change the face of divisive politics there, also lobbyist groups in Washington who are to powerful that have politicians in their back pocket needs to be highlighted what a detriment they are to America's well being, they own politicians by pretty much bribing them to block and vote on legislature.

Tbh, the one thing the Democrats and Republicans have worked well on together over the years is raising the barriers to prevent a third party from taking hold (e.g. the polling percentage required to participate in presidential debates)

The Equal Rights Amendment, codifying gender equality in the United States. Of course, it was killed by the Jeebus "conservatives" in one of their first moves solidifying their position within the GOP and eventual takeover of the party.

The thing is with Roe v Wade, is that it directly violates the 10th amendment. I don't think overturning Roe v Wade has much to do with banning abortion, but more to do with honoring the 10th amendment.

What a load. Shall we return to segregated schools? Shall we have state secession from the union?

The Republican-led SCOTUS that decided Roe v Wade had just as deep of an understanding of the 10th Amendment as the current SCOTUS. What differs today v then is the political and cultural motivation behind the interpretation of the Constitution - not some deeper understanding or appreciation for "original intent". That phrase is window dressing masking judicial activism.

On that first post, there were I believe 17 others injured on top of the deaths. So those 17 were just lying their potentially dying while the police decided to go in or not. Horrendous in every way.

Even if he did falsely assume it was over, why aren't they sweeping the building, checking for victims and help escort pupils and staff from the building?

It should be a room-by-room sweep of the entire premises by armed officers.

I can sort of understand a lone copper with a pea shooter feeling nervous in trying to break a door down and tackle someone with a semi auto rifle without back up but 19 officers? Cowardly that.
