With that mindset nothing will ever change. Laws are changeable, so are constitutions, people just have to be willing. Those that aren't would be legally required to do so.
Imagine a US with only the police being armed, it would be a totally different place. It would not happen over-night, obvioulsy, but they idea they just carry on killing each other rather thantrying is bizarre
There have been a lot of interconnected events getting us to this place. For centuries

I’m not optimistic about our ability to change without another civil war.

When 40% of the population believes alternate reality, the damage has already been done.

I’m sure this isn’t a popular take. But I do not have high hopes for our future

It's not as clear cut as you make it out though. I am sure there are a lot of people from a lot of different countries that envy the right to bear arms.

We have seen recently many civilians in Ukraine take up arms and fight against a tyrannical invasion of their homeland, to do this they needed guns. Would Putin have gone to war if he knew behind every door was an AK47?

The Nazi gun laws in 1938 specifically prohibited Jews from owning firearms in contrast to relatively relaxed laws to the 'law abiding german' and we know what happened there.

This is not to definitively say, Putin wouldn't have invaded, or the holocaust wouldn't have happened, we can't know this answer, but I don't think it is a stretch to say it made it easier.

Even Karl Marx argued that the working class should not be disarmed.

I believe the checks and regulations need to be much tighter in the US (similar to how Canada does it) and it is crazy to me you can't buy a pint at 18 but can buy a gun, I just think there is much more to it than just 'ban the guns' its a very complicated issue.
What an incredibly bizarre argument.

Are you suggesting there are parallels here? That if the US public disarm then they are susceptible to being invaded? By whom?

I'm from Liverpool you dope.

it's really not daft, you see gangs in england and a lot of countries that have guns, funny that coz they are not legal. Seems criminals will find a way to break the law, who would have thought it.
But guns have not stopped criminals, America is rife with violent crime and yet there are guns every where. Where as here in the UK, there was 30 deaths in the whole year due to guns and many of those are nothing to do with gangs.

I totally agree with most of that, I also foresee some sort of civil war based mainly on race but also religion with your right extemists right at the heart of it all.

It doesn't matter what your interpretation or opinion is but it's in the constitution, and that's the only thing that matters. To most Americans, the constitution is only second to the Bible, in terms of importance and values.
You'd have to be a moron to base policy on either of those two things

Out of all of those scenarios you laid out, banning guns won't stop them, that is what you are failing to grasp. Gangs will still get their hands on guns, home invaders will still get their hands on guns, racist police officers will still have guns, school shooters will still get their hands on guns, people who want to kill themselves, if they can't get a gun will do it another way. Don't know what you are even trying to prove?

No it is laughable that with one example I just completely disproved your point. You can be a sensible peace loving human and still own a gun.
Being serious, your only real argument is "I like guns, don't stop me having them" It's not a strong argument, but everything else you have come up with is just excuses and fanciful scenarios.

Just be honest and say "I Like guns, and I am prepared for hundreds of other peoples children to die so I can keep them" and drop all the other bull sh1t yeah?

Oh my god. Someone in another country has a gun illegally, therefore we should allow everyone in America to own assault rifles. What an utterly absurd leap of logic.

I'm actually starting to think you are actually a parody account just pretending to be pro guns, because you are making some really stupid arguments in favour of them.
