Seems a bit pointless talking about which should go first, hand guns or assault rifles, when the reality is that neither will go.
That is likely the sad reality. I think think point he’s making is more that the bigger picture problem doesn’t get solved if only the assault weapons are outlawed or at least made less accessible. So we should be looking at the problem holistically which means hand guns need to be accounted for too. They don’t get talked about as much but they’re a major issue when you look at the statistics.

Heartbreaking, absolutley heartbreaking.

I was helping getting the kids ready for school with the missus this morning, sorting their backpacks and kits, making their water bottles and it came on the tv, and it hit me like a tonne of bricks.

I can’t get my head around dropping them off at school in the morning and not being needed to pick them up at the end of ehe day, seeing their little smiling faces and getting a hug off them before we walk back to the car, because some maniac has butchered them in cold blood, and stolen them away from me!?!?

What those poor parents and families must be going through just beggars belief.

If this doesn’t prompt real change against the second amendment, nothing will - it’s just sick.
I said to my daughter this morning before I left for work and she for school., 'give daddy an extra big hug today...' She said why? And I just said 'sometimes mummy and daddies need extra big hugs..'

Was basically because of this shooting. We don't know how lucky we are that our kids are safe going to school. Its completely heart-breaking.

The 2nd Amendment was written at a time when you fired one shot per minute.

The 2nd Amendment also was put into the Bill of Rights to appease the slave states, who weren't going to ratify the Constitution without it. Why, you might ask? B/c they needed approval from the Federal Government to be able to put down slave rebellions. But most Americans think it was about protecting themselves from a "tyrannical" government.

Disinformation has spread throughout the centuries. I don't know any way out of it.
Disinformation indeed!
