When I did my National Service I fired rifles, bren guns and sten guns. It has never bothered me that I haven't fired one for 60 odd years.

I take that but I'd argue that it's clear that he went out of his way looking for trouble so it's not a case of self defense.

Indeed, though of course it should be pointed out that if he was a cop or a soldier (in the US but especially abroad) then there would be entire legions of talking heads insisting that it absolutely was a cast iron case of self defence.

I really wish they could protest without the rioting and looting. Maybe they wouldn't get any attention but it's just fuel for the right wing nutjobs and incentive for them to turn out and vote Trumpy boy back in. My facebook feed at the moment is depressing.

The guy seen going atound smashing windows after George Floyd was killed has now been charged. He's a right wing white supremicist. There were quite a few blatantly trying to start riots.

Having watched the footage several times, I fail to see how this was premeditated murder. It looks like a clear case of self-defence to me. The lad is being chased down the street by a mob. He trips over, is on the ground and vulnerable.

Thug number one tries a running drop kick to his head....

Thug number two tries to smash him over the head with a skateboard. He gets shot in the chest for his troubles and dies. Oh well...

Idiot number three, despite seeing his pal get shot, puts his hands up in a temporary moment of sanity, before changing his mind and attempted to attack/grab Rittenhouse. He gets shot in the arm.

People finally get the message and back off......

Lesson of the day.....Don't attack somebody with an assault rifle.

Good. As much as people have tried kneeling, t-shirts, protests etc, nothing appears to be changing.

Maybe now that it will affect sponsorships, advertisers, rich owners then hopefully some proper action is taken. We could do with other American sports following suit.
