The irony is that the hotel accused the Police as having the timeline wrong without realizing it makes them look like idiots if in fact they knew he had been shot earlier. The police had thought they received the call when he was shot and this was after the fact, as in they were alerted a security guard stumbled across the shooter first while he was shooting at the crowd. The whole thing is a mess.

The whole case is very curious and mad indeed

The security guard is still ducking reporters and i believe he either is due on the Ellen show or cancelled last minute.

Now with the whole mess up off the timeline

It is very confusing now but I think the current state of play is that the hotel insist the guard was shot immediately before the massacre started, though that raises a whole load of other questions.

That sounds like a sensible response to the murder of 58 people - murder a couple of million more, but using a nuclear weapon rather than old fashioned bullets

Remember a lot of NRA's and well Trump's base are ignorant or blind to facts so they are probably not clued in on anything that happened in history.

NRA are shrewd in that respect. They know how to play to their base that's for sure.

Heck even logical smart friends of mine sound silly spouting NRA nonsense when gun crime and issues of guns come up. It's embarrassing when smart people lower themselves to stupid levels for some message that if they stopped and thought about it they would see the flaws.

I watched a documentary piece about them not sure if it was John Oliver or someone else and they said that the organisation isn't even that big but the people that work for them actually work for them spend their days ringing congressmen, senators and lobbyists to try get their agenda across. They were mainly retired white men aged 55 and up. So they have all day and all the time in the world to help. That's all they do and well now TV and web media placed ad's

But most of the 2 or 4 million members do not actively do anything for the NRA other than hold a membership.

He actually ran people over with a rented home depot truck. He drove along a bike path and struck multiple people killing 6 so far.

The shooting was him being shot apparently and then getting in his truck and driving over the people on the bike path. Although the shooting part is still sketchy other than him being shot not known by whom and if anyone else got hit.

And as for the NRA actively campaigning for Trump I really don’t get that. He may have their back for - well you know - there must be a proportion of their members who don’t want them to nail their colours to one leader (and probably not THIS one). The wholesale politicking and general neo-corruption, well above the waterline, is distasteful. The Pharma Industry with its Multi Billion dollar lobbying just got its own way last week over the Opioid Crisis with The Trumpkin pretending to care whilst signing an order to chuck $57,000 at the problem - less than it costs to cover Trump crossing the road FHS. Beyond belief.
