For sure. However, I feel like if a candidate ever garners 15 percent more of the vote than his opponent and actually loses, the electoral college would be finished. The outcry would be that loud. Accounting for third party votes, write ins, etc., you’re talking about a candidate winning the election with barely over 40% of the vote. In a two party system, that’s obviously not South African apartheid, but it’s not democracy either.

It is actually crazy how few votes it would take to change this from a Trump win to a Biden landslide and visa versa
