@BlueTX, any insight into why campaigns run TV ads in the places they do? Specifically, why am I seeing Biden/Harris ads during afternoon South Park reruns in Tennessee, a state where Trump has a double digit lead, and there are no down ballot races that are being seriously contested either? Or why did I see ads for Doug Jones Alabama senate race with Tommy Tuberville during college football games the past two weekends? Presumably people here would be intrigued at the possibility of voting against the former coach of one of our rivals, but nobody here is eligible to vote in that race. In both cases, wouldn’t the Democratic Party be better using those resources elsewhere?
On the latter, I presume the Doug Jones ad was purchased on the SEC Network broadcast and went everywhere the game was being broadcast.
As for the Biden/Harris ad, I cannot be sure. I doubt they are targeting your market specifically so best guess it is a cheap national spot for the network/demo.

Gotcha. I figured the Doug Jones one may have just been a regional ad. I’m pretty sure TN played was on SECN both weeks, so I’m sure that’s where I saw them. Was less sure why I’d be seeing Biden/Harris ads here.

Think it’s also the case that (if I’ve understood correctly, and in an unexpected turn of events - Trump was expected to have a huge fundraising advantage) the Biden campaign pretty much has more money than it knows what to do with at this point, and there’s only limited prime time swing state “inventory” available to purchase.
This is what I'm hoping for. If he loses, I don't just want him beaten - I wanted him destroyed.
I'll put my hands up and admit that I just don't think Biden has the appeal to do it, but I hope so.

Agreed. Needs to send a signal that this kind of politics and rhetoric can not be allowed. Has to be an annihilation otherwise we’re going to be in this cycle for years.
Polls and pollsters have not actually covered themselves in glory recently though.
But they have to get it right sometime.
Still a lot that can go wrong and doesn’t seem like the last of the October surprises but polling is encouraging
They have done adjustments to their college/non-college splits which was the cause of quite a lot of the 2016 errors.
Most likely potential error now seems to be non-response but guess we’ll see.

People forget that not all non college white are massive racists or idiots!a lot of the vote for trump was a reactive, angry vote..doesn’t mean he will get it again
