No pardon. No way. If Trump has broken the law as president then its prosecution for him and Biden should just stay out of it. Chances are he won't be pursued vigorously, but Biden should not pardon Trump, and he won't. He won't even lose sleep thinking about whether to do so. He just won't pardon him.
There has been some suggestion Trump may pardon HIMSELF before leaving and also give a general amnesty to his staff. Makes you wonder what on earth they have been doing we don't know about!

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a start. But the outpouring of joy, especially from some on this side of the Atlantic, seems to overplay the significance at the present time. It all seems a bit too happy ending for me, rather than the start of a long slog.
But the thing is, it’s neither the end or the beginning of anything. Democracy, particularly one with as many choke points as the American system, is a GRIND. A lot of times, the victories are small, few, and far between. Not unlike supporting Everton, honestly. But guess what, the blues won the equivalent of a derby yesterday for the first time in years, and effectively stopped the reds from winning the league. Doesn’t mean they can’t win it next year, or the year after, but it also doesn’t mean we shouldn’t celebrate at least for one night.

Anyone who thinks he’ll “fade into the background” is either out of their mind or has paid little to no attention to the last 4 years

The creator of The Apprentice is already working on a tv show with Trump acting like he’s still President, holding rallies, commenting on the events of the day and the Biden administration’s response to them. Even having a mocked up Oval Office and a “Trump Force One” plane to fly around on.

Prosecuting and convicting him is the ONLY thing that might shut him up.

Jesus, really?! For the love God that has to be shut down immediately.

I just want a world where that man and his fanatics have no outlet or voice. Free speech shouldn't extend to fascists, because if they had their way nobody except them would have any control or right to an opinion.

Can Trump actually be “pardoned” if he has not been convicted of owt?

Yes, because it means any he's free of any potential investigations and the repercussions. Same thing Ford did with Nixon, but in that case it was easier to accept (least in hindsight) because Nixon wasn't a dangerous fascist calling his supporters to take to the streets and cause anarchy.
