So, all week the Russians have been shooting their mouths off about repercussions, we’ll shoot everything down, we’ll destroy the platforms. Nothing....Syria says it shot down 13 missiles, the Russians say the Syrians shot down 71/103 missiles, but whatever the number was, it has proven that the S400 is not this fantastic defence shield that Russia has been talking up because missiles got through and so both sides will learn from this. Russia is a bully and uses the rhetoric of a bully, just like Trump, but it knows that if the West wishes to hit any part of Syria they can do so.

Russia promised to remove Assad’s chemical weapons and it's time that it followed through on that promise or be seen as the rogue state it currently is......

Russia, the US, & it's supporters both flagrantly violate international law frequently, but seeing the Russians go to the council about the West *and be right* is such a weirdly sobering message to the West as an institute.

You of course have a valid point but if Russia had come out and said we have told Assad that he is not to use chemical weapons and if he does, Russia will withdraw their support to the Syrian government then this would have been solved without the need for bombs.

Russia just dic-ks around with us and the UN and makes it next to useless. They can't then complain about it when it doesn't work in their favour.

Sadly governments do go ahead when they shouldn't. Blair was a classic case, at least this time we aren't being blatantly lied to just to go ahead. I don't want us to get involved here but think it is inevitable, just hope parliament votes on it and it isn't just done.

Political price to pay here. May's pathetic government ignoring the clear British public view on this not to intervene in the matter just to traipse behind Trump's bombing spree - in order that he squares off domestic criticism of being a Russian puppet.

I expect that to play very badly for May and her fellow rats.

Be a new regime here anyway by the time the next election comes round. They have the excuse that it was done without them having a say so can win favour back that way and will use the press to attack Corbyn over being a dithering bumbling fool like they always try to.

People are sick of lying and sleazy Tories. If the right wing Judas Labour MPs were to shut their 'kin grids and unite behind the leadership there'd be a landslide of 1945 proportions to drain that swamp of Tories.
