Of course we do, but they are not being deployed, that’s the difference......

They hand the capability to produce chemical weapons to others to deploy it, as in the Iran-Iraq war when they allowed this to happen.

They're hypocrites. But you know that.

It's a good job the Russians seem to be permitting this free meaningless shot to take place without reacting to the provocation.

Ever thought about sacrificing chickens to satisfy your lust? Just a thought.
Looks like you were right about the UK/US staged chem attack to facilitate the justification of a massive bombing campaign on 3 buildings in Syria.

You and other conspiracy theorists were right on the money with that one.

Seems a pretty fair and proportionate response - although as long as Assad is in power this kind of thing will continue to happen.
They've had at least 48hrs to clear them buildings out, it was a totally pointless exercise and in no way a deterrent whatsoever.

Bomb his aircraft if you want to make him think twice about using Chems again.

You think that's it? You think there won't be more, no responses?

Looks like you got your wish for conflict and almost a billion spent on weapons while there's children dying in Yemen and elsewhere.

It's done, they've tread carefully so not to upset Russia, only bombed 3 buildings that were empty by then anyway, it has been a totally pointless exercise.

Normality will be resumed, Assad will continue to butcher his people with the consent of Russia, they'll use chems again if they need to break the resolve of the rebels, they used them last week, 2 days later the rebels surrender and give up the town.

Indeed, but that's a much larger operation than targeting the chemical weapons directly, which I don't think there'd be international support for.

Tiptoeing around the Russians.

Absolutely pointless, Trump did more when he launched 60 cruise missiles last time for the use of chems.

Maybe so, but there's no possibility of a large scale attack happening as that simply wouldn't have international support or improve the situation - better to damage Assad's ability to indiscriminately kill his own people than do nothing, even if we can't fully prevent it.

Independent of literally anything, the US and it's supporters still believe the Team America World Police nonsense, and attacked an Arab country, without UN resolution and in violation of international law.

Is the whole thing in Syria [Poor language removed] up? Yeah. Should it be dealt with? Also yeah. But the US seams to do it to distract from White House news.

Like who could've told me that I would wake up and Russia would be the one standing by international law in the UN Security Council? Oh, the Arabs could've told me? This [Poor language removed] happened before, and this is just the last iteration of "the West bombs Arabs as election promise".

Russia, the US, & it's supporters both flagrantly violate international law frequently, but seeing the Russians go to the council about the West *and be right* is such a weirdly sobering message to the West as an institute.

And thus, more Arabs die as sacrifices to the same Western politics that are currently fighting to keep those same Arabs in the bombing zones with refugee bans, for yet another geopolitical game in which we are not participating beyond being proxy collateral.

For a decade the US has used the UN Security Council to block all discussion of Palestine, and now Russia does it regarding Syria and the US suddenly complains the council is broken?

Bottom line. The council needs a redesign, and the voting mechanic needs a balancing pass.

They've targetted 3 facilities, absolute waste of time, bomb his planes and airfields.
The attack is part of a much larger and complex agenda based on the growing tension between the West and it's old adversary Russia and co.

Yes the outrage against chemical attacks is truthful (to a point), it's been a useful catalyst to show Russia that their proxy war isn't solely theirs.

The timing is great though isn't it?
