Well to begin with, it was France who believes it has the proof. Right or wrong in this instance, there is apparently proof of a number of chemical attacks by Assad over the years, so a justification to attack remains. The facilities destroyed are almost certainly what the US, UK and France believed were for developing and storing chemical weapons. So even if, and it’s a massive if, a mistake regarding the chlorine attack has been made, which I would doubt, then destroying the chemical weapons labs is no bad thing and probably overdue.......

Then why are there claims of inspectors being denied access to these sites until they are sanitised, didn't we 'sanitise' them with bombs the other night?

Twas the Israeli's last night I believe. Attacking Iranian positions - they're none too fond of the Iranians being so close to their northern Eastern border. Place is like a shooting gallery atm ... anything could happen at any time!

It could, and one thing is for certain, if Iran try to attack Israel, which I doubt, then Israel will destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities, it just needs an excuse.......

Why couldn't the UN have been allowed to investigate Assad's crime before the airstrikes? The airstrikes would have had more legitimacy then.

I’m sorry mate but this just represents the naive view that comes from the Corbyn supporters. They would have cleaned up, they would have threatened everyone involved with death or otherwise so as to say the ‘right thing’, and if they couldn’t have achieved that then Russia would have thrown in a veto..........
