Well to begin with, it was France who believes it has the proof. Right or wrong in this instance, there is apparently proof of a number of chemical attacks by Assad over the years, so a justification to attack remains. The facilities destroyed are almost certainly what the US, UK and France believed were for developing and storing chemical weapons. So even if, and it’s a massive if, a mistake regarding the chlorine attack has been made, which I would doubt, then destroying the chemical weapons labs is no bad thing and probably overdue.......
Then why are there claims of inspectors being denied access to these sites until they are sanitised, didn't we 'sanitise' them with bombs the other night?
