I've got 2 categories in my mind. Following Louis CK I called them "of course" and "but maybe".

Of course, of course this is just a begining of the season, of course!
But maybe we turning to be Wigan, we conceeded 17 goals in 7 matches god damn it!

Of course we've got quality players and we only have to give them a time, of course!
But maybe PL is so strong that we are now just 7-10 in tabele team.

Of course we've beat Wolfsburg and we have great hopes about playin in EL, of course!
But maybe we will do exactly what Swansea last season on every front.

Of course Roberto is a great manager, we have great last season, of course!
But maybe it is no coincidence that wigan dropped out of the league under RM...

Minus Hibbert, I'd have played that team tonight. I know his substations weren't the best but that aside Roberto hasn't done too much wrong.

The players have got to take responsibility it's embarrassing. Fans paid and travelled to watch that and they weren't arsed. Playing like over-paid pre madonnas just collecting their money and going through the motions.

There's only one way to put it right and that's at the weekend...

PS: Garbutt is the exception thought he gave his all.
Agree. Our haplessness has been a result of seasoned professionals making amateur mistakes, not from a lack of organisation.

What's the point of having a squad if none of the players outside of the first XI are good enough to ever play? It's the League Cup, the 4th most important competition we were in this season and was never going to be a priority. FFS the moaners on here are worse than the red tops it's lazy thinking that Martinez's Wigan conceded a lot of goals + we've shipped qute a few recently = defensive frailty is Martinez's fault.

Very disappointed with Martinez's comments. If this is what he really thinks, then I am extremely worried.
If it's not what he really thinks, then I wish he would come out at least once and say that he and the players have screwed up and are totally to blame. At the same time, apologising to the fans who made the long and tiring trip to Swansea tonight. A little humility would not go amiss.

You should become a manager of a team Tubey, and then be a fan of the team, then you can say the exact words and sentences that you want to hear and can go to bed reassured.

What's that supposed to mean?

I'm not angry at Martinez; I'm disappointed. I'm entitled to be after a 3-0 loss after the Palace game. Are you saying I have to be a top class football manager to find fault with the man?

I'm not even arsed to be out the credit card cup when we made 8 changes and had a non-entity at right-back, especially when we have Europa League to concentrate on and a league that's wide open for us to go on a run of form and lodge ourselves smack in the top four in the coming weeks with fixtures against der schiezen and Man Utd. So in true GOT style I shall have to request you all stop being bad bells and get a grip. We shall casually bum everyone we play from here on in. probably.

Exactly this ^

All perfectly reasonable - it's not the same as shouting "Martinez Out" to ask for a bit of humility and honesty from the Everton manager.

Thats a completely rotated side. 7 changes. 4 players who have barely played in the last year.

Fine if you are unhappy with Bobbys decision not to prioritise the cup, but I don't see the point or merit of a ROASTING from the fans on an average performance in the league cup with that team.

no patience
I get what you're saying but how can you honestly expect Evertonians to 'support' and pat the players on the back after that. we are absolutely right to roast the players from that, despite the changes.

Then for Martinez to come out with that bolox.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez: "The scoreline reflects the team that took the chances. During long spells we stopped Swansea from playing. It was an important game for us - for players who haven't played many minutes and to see where they are.

"If you analyse the chances Swansea had, they were few and far between. We had two or three very good situations. In many aspects, I was fairly pleased with that."
We were playing in BLACK, Roberto.

Im making fun of a football fan being upset that a manager in a post match interview didn't say exacty what he thinks they should have said. I'll leave it now.

I didn't even read or listen to Moyes postmatch interviews. POintless and meaningless to me.

I kind of find it weird that this time last year I was fuming with martinez for getting us knocked out of this cup at this stage and you were all cool and unbothered and this time it's more the other way, like.

Weird thing forums.
