Garbutt did well, looked very composed, the only positive.

I'm still convinced Besic will do well despite being fairly anonymous tonight. Gibson, meanwhile, looked well off the pace, I think he'll come good too, though.
I don't.

I liked Gibson but I think the injuries have just caught up with him. He was never quick but he's god awful slow now.

However hopefully I'm wrong and it is just fitness.

haha

okay Tubey, you are just losing the run of yourself now.

Its a post match interview. It means nothing. Absolutely nothing.

I'd be worried for fans that are that sensitive that they need to hear exactly what they think should be said after a game, to make them feel better and comforted that things will get better :)

Of course it matters. Fans are entitled to have an opinion of that manager, and that comes from his statements and results on the pitch, as well as his tactical acumen etc.

If you're one of those people who won't have a word against Martinez, just like the Moyes adulators before you, then so be it, but your 100% wrong if you back the manager 100%. Nobody is perfect. He is not immune to criticism.

Of course he bloody is. That's what everyone does in press interviews. They're propaganda pieces.

Remember when he told the press we wouldn't sign mcgeedy in january?

That's completely different - it's not disrespecting the intelligence of fans by saying nothing is wrapped up in the transfer market. That's just common sense - you don't talk about deals until they're done, unless your a muppet like Redknapp.

Outright lying about a performance and avoiding being too negative are two different things - Martinez adopted the former, I'd prefer him to be truthful and do the latter.

Rest of week:
Tonight: Fume at getting battered by Swansea
Tomorrow: As above for the morning then gradually as the day goes on start thinking about the derby
Thursday: Think about the starting 11 for the Derby
Friday: Starts thinking we should get something / deserve something / on paper we are better team actually excited for the game now
Saturday morning: Banter head on, pre derby nerves but confident we will get something 'because we are better than them'
Saturday afternoon: Fume because we have bottled it again / or ref gives unjust decision to the RS causing us to lose

Nailed on this is how the rest of the week will be

You should become a manager of a team Tubey, and then be a fan of the team, then you can say the exact words and sentences that you want to hear and can go to bed reassured.
