I think he just came through the youth as a Cm and possibly early doors at Sheffield.

Disagree mate, Sheff Utd spent a year in the PL before going down going from memory and he was seen mostly as Defensive midfielder but a utility - mostly full back were he also played games.

The expectation signing him was that he'd be a central midfielder who could play utility - same role as Sheff Utd really. When he came here first we tried him in the same role, was poor then we tried him at centre half, one of his first home games was against Arsenal and we took the lead, Arsenal had a man sent off and Jags got pumped - was brilliant on here, everyone was saying “he’d never make a centre half” - i still slag one of the other mods at the time on here about it!

Was over Xmas or close to that fixture and he’d been out of the team up to it after being poor in the middle.

But look if people have a different memory - go mad!

Oh this guy gets forward a fair bit tbh, gets a few goals but can also get the tackles in.

Mentioned his name here for the past 2 windows. Like him a lot and that's from watching him live on quite a few occasions. Really think he'd be a very shrewd signing. Hard working, good technician, pace, eye for a goal and also very solid defensive wise.
